At our table, we opted for some reliable favorites. The carpaccio was as fresh as ever, and I always look forward to the grilled calamari, prepared to perfection without any chewiness. The appetizer portion was generous compared to similar dishes at other restaurants. Additionally, it was served with a fresh medley of greens, mushrooms, and tomatoes. Nelson Richmond Hill: This Italian restaurant is hidden in a supermarket strip mall which is too bad because it's pretty good. I had the prix-Fixe menu $23.95) which started withe the Ferrovia Caesar, romaine hearts, crispy pancetta, Parmigiano herb croutons and a grainy mustard and roast garlic dressing. The cheese was really salty, but I appreciated the conservative amount of dressing used as a Caesar salad drowning in dressing is a big pet peeve of mine. Fantasic Ferrovia. I've been coming to this restaurant since 2005. On the recommendation of my future brother in law and wife, I went with my then fiance and have been going back there since. They have gorgeous decor, service is efficient and friendly. Food is awesome, I have never had any comlaint. Brought friends, colleagues and family members. Try the Fixed Prix Menu that is offered on Sunday and Monday evenings! Delightful!

A really traditional family restaurant with great services. Saw this restaurant on urban spoon app and decided to go here with gf for our anniversary. We order steamed PEI mussels for appetizer and the veal picata and it tasted great! My gf isn't a great fan of tomatoes, but she loved the spicy tomatoes sauce on the mussels. We had to ask for more bread to dip the sauce with. Overall a very nice environment and great food!

The food was excellent; we ordered the lamb shank and the rack of lamb, both of which were delightful. The staff were very friendly, and the restaurant is located in a lovely area of Thornhill. The ambiance was beautiful and cozy, though it seems to attract an older clientele.

Ferrovia hosts a prix fixe menu on Sunday and Monday nights during dinner. ... It really was a great deal to get three courses of food for the one of what a regular entrée usually costs $23.95). For this reason, I ended up splurging a bit and ordered a martini as well.

Turns a bad day around. A lovely Italian restaurant with amazing Italian dishes that satisfy our craving for quality cuisine. Their veal is the best! Italians never disappoint. It's on the pricier side, so I recommend bringing a beautiful Italian companion.

Was here awhile ago, had the braised lamb shank. Very tender and moist. Good for uptown quality. Prices are a little high. Worth a try for variety. <br/ <br/ RM
