We loved the buzz and atmosphere of this place. Very busy on a Saturday night. We were greeted well and seated quickly although noted that there was a bit of a wait time after us. Looking at the menu showed us lots of dishes suitable for adult taste buds however our children struggled to find something to their liking as all the dishes were spicy and with chilli. A straight forward nachos was not even on the menu for them. My husband and I loved the flavours of the dishes we chose but were disappointed for the children. We did feel that the portion sizes were a bit on the small size as well.
I visited Fonda with my wife and daughter at the end of June. Staff are very courteous and the venue had a great atmosphere for a Sunday night. Unfortunately, the food didn't match our first impressions of the venue. Burritos were served on the plate without any sides (just a few chips even a slice of lime would have lifted the look on the plate. The Salad Ensalada was tiny and not improved by a extra portion of prawns. Can't recommend over a simple fast food Mexican restaurant - needs to invest in a better way to present the food.Highlight the Watermelon Margarita - delicious
Great restaurant with a really nice feel about. Modern take on Mexican food and very reasonably priced. Popular place to dine and a small que for some but we were lucky to get in quickly. Quality of the food was great and good selection available. Would definitely recommend
I can't describe how happy I am to have found a restaurant with a nut-free menu. Fonda serves great food with specials and twists that make it very Melbourne. Good options for vegetarians too. Staff are always friendly, can't wait to come back.

We dined here over the weekend and LOVED it!The food was exceptional and we loved the cocktail jugs too.It would be great if Fonda offered table service as it was a little bit of a nuisance having to order at the bar. Otherwise 10/10!
Visited on Boxing Day . It was pouring and we were soaked and cranky and all that went away in a minute when we entered here. Cheerful, cosy ambience. Lots of vegetarian options and the coolers were superb as well. Recommended.
Very friendly service as we were greeted and welcomed to a table. The food was delicious and came out very quickly. It has many options for dietary requirements including celiac friendly options.
Good food, nothing special. We came with a group of 16; no problem. Food was not very warm. Tastes were okay, but I have had better Mexican

I love coming here for a delicious but casual meal, i feel the potions are large so it is good value, love the fish burrito and corn chips
