Came down to Perth for a holiday from the NT. Went to quite a few cafes and restaurants and found the service in most was snotty and rude. Food Monkey was a really pleasant experience. Good service, generously sized and delicious breakfast at a reasonable price served in a really comfortable environment. Had a meal and stayed a while to chat with friends. Great cafe, thanks Food Monkey :D
A nice little cafe at the top end of Northbridge - well priced, delicious breakfasts. I had the honey toasted muesli which was loaded with all sorts of dried fruit; partner had the monkey breakfast which was huge. I realised this weekend that this was the casual brunch cafe by which I judge all others in our area. The food is incredible value and the service is great. I paid $16.50 for a bagel elsewhere this weekend and it wasn't half as good as the ones on Food Monkeys menu (and I think FM's are about half the price!). Coffee is always nice and it has a great veranda to sit and people watch.
Excellent value for money. Banana Smoothie was fantastic! I had the mushroom and halloumi bagel and my husband the smoked salmon. Both were excellent and so fresh and delicious. Really curbed our bagel craving! Great customer service as well! Worth the short walk over from the Perth CBD. Thank you Food Monkey Cafe! Great little place, really hits the mark in terms of value for money, quality of food, atmosphere. Not too fancy or pretentious, just simple and well executed. Coffee pretty good - sure, I've definitely had better, but not for $3.50 and not without a massive queue! Staff were friendly, laid back and accommodating. Really enjoyed the place and definitely will be going back.
Public holiday and you would think more places would be open. Well FOOD MONKEY was!! Great food, good atmosphere, awesome value and a hidden surprise! I always thought it was just front of house outside seating but they have 3 infoor seatibg rooms set up like highschool common rooms, adds to a great vibe and good for winter seating!
Great place! Nice coffee and friendly staff. Serves yummy food with good value! (Special combo like $10 for a bagel and coffee)And it's super close to my home! This is a place i will frequently go back more than the others!
