Price now extortionate and portions halved. I thought long and hard about writing this and feel really sad to write this review about a local business during tough times. We have always used Fosters but today have paid £25for a tray for 2(fish and chips and 2 sides for 2 people . The portions have halved since the last time we had this(8 weeks ago? . The peas and sides are half a portion (in smaller containers , the fish is more batter than fish, chips aren’t for 2 people. Due to the expense of this meal we used to share between at least 3 of us but tonight did not satisfy 2. Not sure what the answer is but it felt extortionate and prohibitive for the future. Absolutely vile. The most overrated chippy in Bramhall. All style no substance. My cod had hardly any fish in it and the chips were bland. Wish I could get a refund! Whittakers in Cheadle hulme is the best local chippy in the area. Used the Deliveroo discount code and thought I would give Foster’s a second chance…never again! Try somewhere else.
Sunday evening fish and chips after a day outside. fantastic fish (coupling and squid) with crispy teig round. thick chips cooked all the way through perfect. really good home made tartaric acid sauce that bite less than the supermarket stuffing. I have really complicated the fish. the
Excellent food but need to get better organised in getting customers orders instead of only serving one person at a time if a member of staff came outside and took peoples orders at a safe distance it could be cooking, I saw at least 4 people turn away as the wait was far to long

This place is good the popcorn chicken was nice, the fish was nicely cooked crispy on the outside and cooked perfectly inside. Honestly the best fish and chips around. Recommend to all.
An absolute rip off double the price of all other local fish and chips shops and not even good food, over staffed which is probably the reason for the extortionate prices.

Over priced and small portions . The chips are huge not like normal Chippys and brown from old oil . Staff are nice , but I will stick to Whittaker
