I’ve been meaning to try @future.future , modern Japanese in Richmond. I would definitely describe the venue, music and atmosphere as very cool. The vibe they’ve created is perfect for this trendy part of Richmond. We had a fun selection of tapas to rice bowls. I was super impressed by their eggplant dishes and would have to say they were my favourite. So perfectly soft and flavours were not necessarily traditionally Japanese but 100% delicious! This restaurant is a fantastic choice for a Saturday night meal. We were seated at the bar, where I loved watching the chefs display their skills. The menu is simple yet tasty, with standout dishes like the pumpkin agedashi and chirashi bowl. The okonomiyaki was just okay in my opinion. The drinks list is impressive, featuring a variety of Japanese alcoholic beverages that I had never tried before and ended up really enjoying.

Future Future is so cool! <br/ <br/ Décor, atmosphere, playlist all on point. Team was pretty friendly too. <br/ <br/ I was impressed with the vegan options! I tried the TEMPURA ASPARAGUS, AGEDASHU TOFU and EGGPLANT DONBURI. Would highly recommend all dishes so delicious. <br/ <br/ Keen to go back to try more!
This restaurant is fantastic. I can't wait to return and sit on the balcony in the back on a beautiful day. The meatball katsu sando is amazing, a must-try, as well as the prawn and chicken gyoza. All the food was delicious and the service was excellent. A great new addition to Swan Street.
I’m glad they open a decent jap restaurant in this site of Richmond. First of all this place is such a good place to catch up.relax ambient , not too noisy . The food are perfect , highly was the okonomiyaki, and gyoza. Def gonna come back for more and bring different friends here.
The venue itself is great, not too premium but not too casual. They ran out of a couple of dishes including the corn tempura which was really disappointing. Service a little slow on drinks but overall good food.

One of the best restaurants in Melbourne and by far my favourite Japanese. The pumpkin agedashi tofu, karaaage, all of the raw dishes are magnificent. Staff are super friendly and the music is on point.
