"We sat outside in the beer garden and enjoyed the great beer and good to the accompaniment of a wedding band playing in the main room of the restaurant. Schweinshaxe was enormous and delicious as was the Pfifferlinge soup."

Stopped by here for lunch, Nürnberger style brats were good, sauerkraut was great, more mild than typical, and beer was the same as anywhere else...good. The out door sitting area is large and they advertised live music on certain nights. Decided to go back for...dinner the next night, but weather had closed the outside area. They have several reasonably priced dinner specials. Ordered Jäger Schnitzel with RahmSauce, Bär Kartoffeln (home fries) and Green beans along with a salad. All were very good. The only down side is only have two people waiting tables. They are friendly and very efficient, but as the Gast Haus filled up service slowed. By all the tables were full

from here to lunch, the beans were good in the nürnberger style, sour kraut was great, milder than typical, and beer was the same as everywhere...the outside door sitting area is big and they advertised live music at certain nights. decided to go back in the next night, but the weather had closed the outside area. they have several inexpensive dinner specialties. Jäger schnitzel with cream sauce, bear kartoffeln (heimfries) and green beans ordered together with an salad. all were very good. the only side is just two people waiting tables. they are friendly and very efficient, but how the gas house slowed down the service. all tables were full until 19 hours.

Worst feeling ever... I m usually calm, this time I almost lost my mind. I was on the edge to become physically agressive hour min we wait on the food, and after one hour waitress comes to say they don't have what...I ve order anymore. After one hour min, it s intolerable. Then I took something else and the food was barely correct, nothing special. Not enough meat, not enough food.. I ve never been that much frustrated. I m never gonna go back there. It one of the worst time I had in a restaurant in my life, and I m years old. Sorry to say..

I was at the ransom to become physically aggressive 1 hour 15 minutes we wait for the food, and after an hour 15 comes the waitress to say they don't have what. I order more. after an hour 15 minutes it is unbearable. then I took something else and that was hardly right, nothing special. not enough meat, not enough food. I've never been so frustrated. I never go there again. it was one of the worst times I had in a restaurant in my life, and I'm 40 years old.

Whether we are at the Unterstoa for just a drink, a meal or one of their marvellous Heimatbende, we always have a good time. The food is very tasty, well cooked and reasonably priced and there are lots of waiting staff in attendance. In the...summer, there is a beer garden with Bavarian music some nights. Once a week, the Bayerische Heimatabend or Bavarian folk evening is held in the large hall, where you again can eat and drink whilst watching the Bavarian dancing.

after the time we spent in the eagle’s nest, we drive to lunch down the mountain to the king’s lake. I ordered the fish without the head (fish directly from the sea.) my sohn had of course sausage! View of the sea was peaceful and relaxing. short hike...on the mountain we brought to an excellent point of view of the lake.

We ate here a few times during our Schoenau visit and enjoyed it very much. Excellent Bavarian food and drink with a beautiful interior and relaxing biergarten full of locals dining out. They also have a Festsaal, and since the UEFA tournament was in progress...we had a blast watching the games there. Good Times!

Pretty, well kept beer garden with good food and live music. It was obvious that this was a family-run operation, as an old man and woman kept poking their heads out the door to see that everything was running smoothly. The live Bavarian music was...a treat as well.
