Jäger schnitzel with cream sauce, bear kartoffeln (heimfries) and green beans ordered together with an salad. all were very good. the only side is just two people waiting tables. they are friendly and very efficient, but how the gas house slowed down the service. all tables were full until 19 hours.
during our holiday we ate here more than any other place. The food was excellent (we seem to have worked our way through the menu) The beer flowed easily (Berchestgarden Hofbrauhaus) But MEIN GOTT!!! Ich dachte mir, vorn Metzgerei-hinten Biergarten, kann nur gut sein. Leider wurde ich enttäuscht. Der Sauerbraten war kaum mit dem Messer zu schneiden. Geschmacklich auch die Klöße fade ....Das Kohlrabi Schnitzel war gut.Aber Bäume, wie von anderen beschrieben, konnte man vor lauter riesigen Sonnenschirmen nicht sehen ...Von anderen Gasthöfen verwöhnt, waren wir nicht begeistert.

after the time we spent in the eagle’s nest, we drive to lunch down the mountain to the king’s lake. I ordered the fish without the head (fish directly from the sea.) my sohn had of course sausage! View of the sea was peaceful and relaxing. short hike...on the mountain we brought to an excellent point of view of the lake.

In the field service I am a lot in Bavaria but as good as in the Gasthaus Unterstein I have not eaten anywhere yet and at these reasonable prices. The staff very friendly and attentive and you notice these people understand their subject. At any time.
We sat outside in the beer garden and enjoyed the great beer and good to the accompaniment of a wedding band playing in the main room of the restaurant. Schweinshaxe was enormous and delicious as was the Pfifferlinge soup
