Gaststatte am Kurpark

We have learned that quite a large fraction of the restaurants and businesses in Mittenwald take their vacation in April or May. As a result, many of the top rated restaurants were not open. We got lucky with Gaststatte am Kurpark. It reopened on April...15th, our last full day on Mittenwald. The dining room was largely empty when we arrived, although there was a table of regular customers in the back. The waitress was very friendly, delivered menus, took a drink order, and then brought us our drinks. we had appeared without reservation and were initially told that there was nothing. there were 2 empty tables on the door with reserved signs on them. after a few seconds hesitation, we were shown to one of them and the reserved sign whispered away. during our meal, I noticed a few with an intense talk with the waitress and finally leave her. I didn't hear that conversation, but I think we had the table they had reserved. we both ordered the menu, a multi-course dinner. it was delicious and served with attentive courtesy. the restaurant is several blocks from the top market, but worth the walk.

Very good value for money, big portions, good variety to choose from. Specials menu has seasonal ingridients. 350 gr steak arouns 17eur, schnitzel 12 eur. Salad accompanies every dish. Friendly atmosphere with good few locals around. A bit away from the city center but worth...the walk.

We found this place following Trip Advisor's advice. The restaurant was full, but the waitress gave us the last table. We ate onion soup, Bavarian white würstel and the a.m. Awesome Schnitzel. Everything was abundant and very tasty. The service was quick and kind.

we were there for dinner within 4 days. I was both very satisfied with the service was very friendly and attentive. they should also book in the next season. spontaneous visitors have quite low chances on a free table.

Great local food (the best liver dumpling I've ever tasted), a warm and friendly atmosphere and good service (including an English speaking waitress with a menu in English). I'll definitely be back!

The place is cozy, warm, calm and friendly. The service was excelent very kind. Our food was also great. Onion soup and special of the day. So sad the only had ice cream for dessert.

My husband and I recently had the pleasure of dining here on a weeklong stay in Mittenwald. We returned twice. Traditional German food was excellent.

a Guade economy! so it was delicious. would come back anytime. it is very quiet because there is no car traffic!

very cozy traditional location, friendly housewives with decent Bavarian food, the prices are fully acceptable!
