I have been looking forward to visitig this restaurant for a while. I love Argentinean cuisine. As I arrived with my wife we were impressed by the beauty of the architecture you can tell there was a lot of thought and attention to detail. Inside we found a lot of the same impressive beauty and the layout of the restaurant was wonderful. When it comes to service our server was cordial enough, seemed to know the menu really well but lacked a bit of warmth. It left me and myfamily feeling like he wasn't enjoying what he was doing too much. We ordered drinks I got to say that's where this restaurant truly shined for me tonight. As for the food, it wasn't a hit with us. We ordered a variety of salads, appetizers, pastas, and a mixed grill platter to share. The portions were generous, but the meat on the mixed grill was incredibly overcooked. We managed to flag down our server, who was polite and offered to get us a new platter. However, she asked us to put the uneaten meat back on the platter to avoid getting in trouble. I understand the reasoning, but it felt odd, as if we might be suspected of trying to score a free meal or something. Why would our server be reprimanded when the kitchen was at fault?

This is my second time coming to Gaucho Grill with family and friends and I give this place five stars ???????????????? ???? .I had the rack of lamb medium rare and I must say I was blown away with delicious mouth watering flavor, cooked to perfection and the portion was perfect. order the full rack)I even had take out for lunch the next day. If you're going on the weekend, best if you make reservations because if you don't....you will wait awhile. The service was very goodand friendly. Eventhough I live in San Diego, I look forward to having dinner and meeting family and friends for here because the food and service is beyond excellent.
Do NOT go on Fri/Sat night unless you are deaf! Food and service was great......and then the music started and ruined EVERYTHING! It was loud, annoying, and ended our dinner early, before we were finished eating. When the music started I told our server if that is going to continue, we need to-go boxes and the check so we can get the f*ck out of her! . Unfortunately, we didn 't finish eating, didn 't have another round of drinks, and didn 't have dessert.

The food was delicious and satisfying. The customer service was excellent, and the atmosphere was very cozy. The bartender made some fantastic lemon drop cocktails. While the prices are somewhat higher, they offer a happy hour menu with food and drinks at half off the regular prices, available all day and evening. I give it 5 stars. It's a great spot for a date or special occasion.
We arrived at 4:06 PM but weren't seated until around 4:20 PM, even though the restaurant wasn't busy at all. The hostess seemed quite inattentive and didn't acknowledge us. Our food didn't arrive until 5:15 PM. While the food was delicious, the service left much to be desired. The waiter was rarely around and wasn't very helpful.
I ordered the gaucho burger and seasonal lemonade. The burger was tasty, although I found the patty a bit too thick for my liking. The atmosphere was decent, but the loud music was a bit off-putting. I really enjoyed the sauces that accompanied the complimentary bread! Overall, it's a nice, trendy restaurant.
Love Gaucho! And have been frequenting them often since they opened a few years back. This past trip service was extremely slow and all of journalist steaks came out rare. However the empanadas were perfection and I love their drinks. Hopefully tonight was just an off night. I’ll be back though.

Meat was very rare/raw (ordered medium) and extremely gristly and fatty, potatoes were dry. The meat that was edible (the edges after cutting off the fat and gristle) was not worth the price. Came once before and the meal was ok, this second time was not good at all.
Worst service ever, our server was completely rude, the host was also on a bad attitude
