This place is incredible. Walking distance from Central Station. Visually, the ice creams are overwhelming. I could not even start to choose my first messina ice cream. The task was too overwhelming. They know how to dress an ice cream. I tasted a few, but felt I could only really make a true decision if I tasted most of them, so I settled with knowing that I will be back to try others.I went for the white chocolate, salted caramel and hazelnut. It was full of surprises, with toffee chunks, hazelnuts in caramel...OMG. The flavour was quite intense. So many good things I have read about this place... But then I have eaten at so many other great gelaterias before. And this one did not live up to the hype. Although the ingredients were truly excellent (e.g., pistachio gelato), I found the flavors too gummy (as in too much emulsifier) and too sweet. It simply lacked the consistency of gelato and was more reminiscent of ice cream. Would I eat here again? Probably not, unless I am desperate.
Went to Gelato Messina a few times and each time left me wanting more. There is a huge range and not overly expensive, with the choice of cone or cup.I have never seen a ice cream shop with a queue of people before, especially on a Saturday night.Next time you are in the area, do yourself a favour and grab a couple of scoops.
We stopped in to Messina twice when we visited Sydney. The specials always caught our eye, we tried a couple of those and also the fig and Marsala (which ended up being our favourite). Friendly staff, they're happy to give you tasters. Most importantly, really delicious gelato.

everytime we visit this place we were enthralled and enticed by the various flavours, the various combination of fruits spices nuts textures and colours. best of all it is so worth the experience even with a full stomach from dinner
I've tried Messina many times and I always enjoy their specials of the day. So creative and the combinations always work so well together! Go for double or triple scoops or just get the tub, it's worth it!
Salted caramel coffee tasted more like coffee and that's all red velvet was more dry cake than gelato. The scoop was small for the price and walked away disappointed. Also limited seating.
저는 달링허스트에 주로 갔었는데 주중에는 굳이 기다려서까지 먹지 않아도 됐었어요. 젤라또 종류들도 많고 귀여운 유니폼 입은 직원들도 너무 친절하고 시드니 오시면 꼭 가보세요. 젤라띠시모하고는 또 다른 다양한 맛 젤라또가 있어요.
