Ghirardelli Soda Fountain Chocolate Shop (disneyland)

I would love to give this restaurant a perfect 5 out of 5 stars because their plant-based sundae is absolutely incredible. However, I find the price of over $18 to be quite unreasonable. Given my limited options and the fact that I've never come across a loaded plant-based sundae before, I decided to splurge on it. As I mentioned, it was delicious, and I rarely get the chance to treat myself to a vegan sundae. That said, it does hurt to pay nearly $20 for a sundae of average size, and I'm skeptical about whether it truly costs that much. Would I order it again? Definitely, yes!

After dinner, we had a little time before the park closed, so we decided to stop by Ghirardelli for dessert! We arrived just five minutes before closing—what a close call! We shared an ice cream sundae and a hot chocolate, and we also grabbed some salted caramel dark chocolates. You can’t go wrong with anything on their menu. The place was immaculate, and the customer service was warm and welcoming. I really love this spot and will definitely return. Although we usually visit the locations in San Diego or Monterey Bay, this one is much more convenient!

Updated visit June 2024 still one of our favorite morning places in the park. The frozen hot cocoa is our fave. The food, service, and atmosphere are all exceptional. Updated review visit Sept. 2021 enjoyed a delicious frozen hot cocoa and a sea salt caramel hot cocoa to brighten our morning. A fun treat in Disneyland California park. Original review visit Sept. 2019 Stopped by Ghirardelli's for morning drinks. Kids loved their (huge) serving of chocolate milk along with the chocolate sample. Sweet way to start off our morning.

Paying $22 for virtually nothing feels like a scam. I understand we’re in Disneyland, but this is ridiculous. The small amount of fudge they gave with our ice cream wasn’t even worth it. This place used to be much better. Reserva una mesa ahora

Love their sundaes and chocolate drinks here! Ice cream is yummy during the hot day and the hot drinks are perfect for a cool evening. My sister has celiacs disease and there are lots of options for gluten free treats.

I have always loved their chocolates but the Strawberry Passion Sundae is on another level!! I’ve gotten twice now and it’s going to be a must get every time now!

Great shop and shakes, but weird setup coming in. Wish they also had a few more shake options. Other than that, delicious.
