If you are a meat and potatoes kind of person this restaurant might appeal to you, but if you are more adventurous and like some flavour this is not the place. I had the Alfredo with prawns that comes with garlic toast and Caesar salad. Very disappointing. The pasta was dry and tasteless, the Caesar salad dressing coming from a bottle, I am sure, and the garlic toast, I have to say was the highlight in the flavour department. My husband had the stir fry with prawns, although saucy, not what he expected from a stir fry, more like a soup.

Greeted by a friendly staff member when you walk in the door, family friendly menu, food is good and portions are satisfying. Formally an ABC franchise (Too many franchise rules to follow) way too portion controlled, way too price controlled (ie had to buy supplies from franchise, orange juice was over four times the price than the local Overwaitea therefore the restaurant had to price accordingly) Now it's Gins prices are reasonable and portions are better.

My son took me here for my birthday, the food was terrible. the meat was not cooked right. I sent it back, it came back still not cooked right. I told them I was a cook, and I would like this done right. Gin couldn't even get Med well on my steak. then when I finally did get my food back it was cool. so, I didn't eat it. After all was said and done they gave my son a full bill. Have never been back there since.

If you have ever had the classic grilled cheese or the homemade turkey dinner then you know exactly what you are getting for food. The turkey was dry and the veggies were fresh from the freezer bag. It was the standard diner gravy and mashed potatoes. Now typing this reminded me so much of my childhood that I enjoyed it. Kids enjoyed their fish

Right across from the Visitors' Centre, if you hit Creston hungry as we did this is a great choice. We left our car in the Centre's parking lot and walked across in time for a late breakfast. Omelet, home tries, toast and coffee all good and all for a good price. Plus a genuinely friendly server. We left well fed and happy.

We eat here several times a year. It's a good basic restaurant for a sit-down meal at a reasonable price. The food is well-prepared (but avoid their Asian dishes if you don't like excessive soy sauce . . .)
