I live just under a mile from Glass Nickel Pizza's Madison West location, making it very convenient for a quick pizza pick-up. I would give Glass Nickel 5 stars if I were only rating their thin crust, tavern-style pizza, because it is very good. However, there is an issue when ordering online - they provide a pickup time for the pizza but are consistently late in cooking it. In my last three visits, I arrived at the designated pickup time only to wait for 15-20 minutes for my pizza. I recommend calling ahead before leaving the house to ensure you don't have to wait on their wooden bench for 20 minutes.
GNP has really fallen from grace. The last two times our pizza has been undercooked, even requesting well done. The dough is soggy and stretchy, not even close to done. You need to hire experienced pizza makers who can identify how long to cook a pizza and experienced pizza makers who know how to place toppings to avoid this. The new lasagna pizza was flavorless which is weird considering all the toppings. Again, raw dough. We’ve been going elsewhere more and more lately. It’s just not the same GNP as they were before COVID
