I visited this place on 2 occasions. The first time around, I only purchased a couple of sides and was pleased with the setting and customer service. The food itself wasn’t anything to write home about but I was looking forward to returning to try some of the dishes and found that the customer service was a great asset. Let’s just say my second time around wasn’t as pleasing. Initially, I didn’t feel that same energy from the first visit. It felt almost as if I was being a burden. On top of that, I asked a question and was answered very rudely. He came off quite demeaning and belittling. Lastly, my meal was disappointing. I want to support black owned but why can’t we consistently take care...
I went there today with the expectations of having a great meal. I've had to surf and turf egg rolls and they were to die for. I went in an ordered the pot roast the Turkey Wing and dressing. I hate to put bad mouth in a restaurant that I truly support, but I must be real. I must admit that the dressing was toooooo salty, it was not what I felt that 65.00 was worth, if I'm going to pay that amount of money, it MUST BE IN POINT AND IT WASN'T. I'M NOT SURE IF THEY HAV A BAD DAY, BUT I RESTAURANTS THERE ISN'T JUST A BAD DAY. NOT GOING BACK!!!!!
We followed them from the old location to the new one after originally finding them on IG. Over the past 2 years, we've tried almost everything on the menu and have never been disappointed. Other reviews mention that they are rude but that has honestly never been my experience. Yes, there is a wait, which is the norm for fresh cooked food. I will say food is normally ready about 30 min after the requested time. If we can wait hours to be seated at a white establishment, we can wait a little for a black owned one!
Very friendly and I was greeted as soon as I walked in. Food was delicious 1/2 Henny chicken, green beans potatoes, and macaroni cheese) and seasoned perfectly, except for the bed of rice that the 1/2 Henny chicken was served on. I will return, but I'll ask for extra Henny sauce on the chicken. I am particular about macaroni cheese, and this was perfect. Black-owned establishment as well. Reserva una mesa ahora
