Gordy's Burger House

So I was craving a REAL BURGER... I wanted to try something different. The ONLY thing I didn't like was the burgers are served on a huge toasted kaiser roll. It felt a bit uncomfortable since I'm married to a black man everyone in there was predominantly Caucasian, but they stared at us I couldn't make out some whispers comments by customers. 2 female waitresses and almost every table was taken, but the servers were clearly in over their heads. They have a bar, but no one can make a daiquiri, kamikaze, mudslide or any other type of fancy drinks I love. My kids wanted to eat here, I had eaten earlier so I just had the apple pie, they said it was the best cause it was home made...... Only the apple was missing ?? just apple flavoured powder.Never had that before, it was horrible. One of the waitresses came over and asked if I wasn't going to finish my pie because it was their top selling dessert and our waitress hand made it.My kids say the burgers were ok.The service was good, the business is family owned and they are very warm and attentive. Just not the apple pie ??

We all had bugers and wings. Several choices for bugers cooked your way. Sweet potato fries were amazing. All drinks were $1 refill so she brought us two pitchers of ice water. A bit pricey but absolutely delicious. Parking: Do not park in the next door lot. Signs posted everywhere. Tow away zone.

Burger was good but wings had way too much sauce . Our meal was supposed to come with cole slaw but did not. Service was mediocre at best and not enough to make up for decent food. The server seemed inconvenienced to learn she got part of our order wrong.

The beer is cold, and the food is good. Service was pleasant and attentive. Wasn't a problem having what I ordered made to my liking. The bar is separated from the dining area. A good place to have a beer and watch a game or have dinner with the family.
