I stopped in to Grass Roots Kitchen for a late lunch. The menu boards had items labeled V for vegan and VP for vegan possible. There were ample vegan and vegan possible options for me to not feel limited at all. I selected the Buffalo Tempeh Melt (VP), and requested that it be made vegan. They explained the bread contained honey but could easily be swapped out for a roll instead. The tempeh was moist, flavorful and was on the sandwich along with sliced avocado, sliced cucumber and a slice of vegan cheese that didn 't melt all that well which was not that surprising. This restaurant offers a wide variety of vegan options at reasonable (higher-end) prices. They serve breakfast, lunch, coffee, and baked goods, with both vegan and non-vegan choices clearly labeled. The portion sizes and overall taste of the food were good. While it didn't leave us in awe, it was definitely an enjoyable experience. We tried the mac and cheese, tempeh wings, Philly cheesesteak, tacos, and a side salad, and I would recommend each of them. The food is unexpectedly a bit on the heavier side. If I had to choose just one place to have a meal in Sleepy Hollow, this would be my top pick!
I get that they technically serve meat but this is an easy 5 star from me. They have a lot of vegan options, and everything we ordered the falafel, the cauliflower bowl, the Korean BBQ wrap, the fries EVERYTHING was A+. The staff was very friendly, and I was happy to see them using Greenware. Bonus points for gender neutral restrooms!
Love the vegan breakfast sandwiches and other new options, they’ve worked out the kinks in the menu and are offering way more vegan options now. We come here a lot for breakfast and lunch.

many vegan options. the egg yolk in my vegan egg sandwich was a delicious surprise. Vegan cookie was also incredibly good. has not rated the mango ice tea, but everything else was great

Great experience! Me and my fiancé had a yummy breakfast! I got the grain bowl with vegan cheese and it did not disappoint! Staff was also super friendly
Delicious buck wheat pancakes with the strawberry hibiscus Arnold Palmer. Love that I could buy local maple syrup and some new cloth produce bags!!

I 've had a few options here, all very good, today however I had the Vegan Philly cheesesteak burrito and was in heaven absolutely delish !
I really love this place. The food is so good and reasonably priced. So many options and a really good environment too
