OK, this is a rating for my food and service only!I ordered teriyaki steak tips ordered medium for doneness, which came out well done! 22$ sent them back, and all the other food came out, so i ate the rice that came with the tips. Took a while to find the waitress, and she refired another order. When they came out, guess what? Well done for most of the tips. The problem is that the tips are all different size pieces, small, medium, and large. They all cook at different times, and they will never be able to cook them all at the same temperature. Clearly an institution in Waltham with an elderly early dining crowd. The mixed drinks really are a great value (skip their so-called fine wine) and the food is respectable. My steak was overcooked compared to how I ordered it so I think they have cooks not chefs, but it seems like a historic venue with diehard fans who return regularly. Worth a visit if you are in the area to say you ate the crabmeat pie and had one of their awesome margaritas. It hasn't changed at all. I've been going to both Grassfields and Jimmy's, and I would gladly return to either of them, as I do on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. The staff at this specific location may not be overly friendly, but you definitely won't be let down by the food.

We ordered dinner for four to take out, and they confirmed each dish with us while having everything ready on time. The staff was excellent, and the food was fantastic! We even enjoyed some delicious leftovers!
Non-pretensious, cozy, lowkey place with delicious well-priced food and friendly service. There wasn't a thing I didn't like about this place.
It feels like a journey back in time. The food is excellent, and the prices are very reasonable. The lunch specials offer fantastic deals.
Grassfields. Good yesterday, today and tomorrow. Great bread, The menu is solid. We're going back.
