Greenwood American Kitchen

On a whim, we decided to ride our bikes with our two young kids for a very early dinner. We arrived at 5:10 just after opening. From start to finish, our experience was lovely. The valet person even parked our bikes for us! We started with a habachi crudo appetizer, buffalo wings and cocktails. My spouse loved the crudo and liked the wings. I loved the wings but I don’t eat fish. Our server, Lisa was lovely and very attentive. The staff went overboard to please our kids. Lisa brought out extra avocado for my baby. My son ate nearly his entire cheeseburger, which never happens. And Mark, the owner, even sent out some grapes for the kids. For such a beautiful restaurant, it was very kid friend...

Great place to enjoy a burger, seafood or a great steak. For the light option there is a good selection of salads as well as vegetarian that can be vegan on request. If you are a beer drinker, there are camps, there Pilsner, IPAs, a total of 10 and two choices of apple wine. For the wine-winner, besides a healthy selection of red and white, you can enjoy roses as well as prosecos and champagne. In beautiful weather the dining room spills on the outside terrace to the Dinning al fresco. It's a must!

We had an excellent experience! Food and drinks were fantastic and the service was just lovely. I love the interior design and very excited for the summer to spend time on the patio! We had our young kids with us and loved the kid and dessert menu. We are Highwood residents and we will be going back regularly! Very excited to have Greenwood in the neighborhood.

Mark and Josh are doing amazing things in Highwood once again! Lovely ambiance, great food, friendly staff, and a truly excellent cocktail program. Best fried chicken sandwich I've ever had! Highly recommend.

The food is amazing! Love the salmon, whitefish and mac n cheese! The cocktails and wine list and also incredible. Love the “riff cocktail” options!
