a friend and I enjoyed a wonderful pre-panemic dining experience in the grill 29. the food was exceptional, and the service was completely at the point: we started our meal with the hot crab-dip ass. this dish is beautifully presented and served over crostini; it was without question the best version of this court that I had in years! for our escape we shared the ahi tuna and a filet mignon; both dishes were perfectly cooked, and the steak was so tender that it melted almost in our mouth. our sides were austere and a Hassleback potato; I have never had one of the latter before, but now that I have recommended it very much; both sides were an excellent opposite to our net, and the entire meal...
I was blessed to eat at this restaurant the food was awesome the service was excellent hats off to Tormeika Mitchell and the assistant manager who was right there by her side I am sorry I didn't get his name because he was awesome as well we didn't have to wait long for our food I was with a party of 13 ladies plus our bus driver and all were well please the food was delicious I had the shrimp po boy It really remind me of my home town of New Orleans I am already looking to visit again doing my anniversary this place is a hidden jewel thanks to the whole staff you all made our visit worth while Thanks
Recently moved to the area and found Grille 29 listed in the Birmingham Restaurant Week info online. Although 30 minutes away we decided to give it a go, and we are glad we did. First and foremost our server, Rachel, did an amazing job attending to our needs, answering our questions and suggesting slight changes to satisfy our individual palates. I ordered the short ribs that was very tasty, and the wife ordered the scallops, also well prepared. Heirloom tomato salad-excellent. The manager also checked in on us several times. We will return.
There for brunch, with family and friends, from my cousins wedding party, no one had any complaints, my food was delicious, and the service was excellent, from the time I entered, until the time I left, our waiter Devonte was excellent!!! Will be back!!!

I had my wife's surprise birthday dinner there this past Friday. I must say everything was excellent!! The waitress was so nice and helpful. Everyone was talking about how good of a waitress we had and how delicious the food was. Everything wad 5!
Great food and service. I have been here several times. Today it was brunch. Lobster and shrimp frittata. It was delicious. The service was great. I will be back in the future.
Not only was the food amazing, the staff (Wes and Jay) was just as amazing! The total experience was awesome! Great place to dine.
I always love going to the 29. The food is great, and the wait staff is superb! It's definitely a hidden gem!
