"We ordered a shocking mosaic cake for a birthday party. The cake looked great, but unfortunately none of the guests tasted. Hardly tastes chocolate and is watery, as soaked with water. Great disappointment"

Guldens Bergstube, as the bakery Gulden in Erlangen is also called, is a traditional family business where you can pamper yourself with delicious pastries and the original Gulden Brezen, which is of course also available at the Erlanger Mountain. The assortment looks a bit small at first glance, but if you look more closely, it is very lush and you can quickly discover the one or the other treat. The product range ranges from the Gulden Brezen, which you should definitely have tried once, to cakes, pizzas, various breads, to all kinds of delicious pastries. And the best thing: all homemade. The staff is very friendly, courteous and always has a nice touch on the lips. If you plan to put yourself in the nice little bakery, you should come to the right time, because the places are hotly coveted and quickly occupied. This is due both to the good bakery and to the great atmosphere, in the freshly renovated and bright room. In my eyes, the prices are reasonable, but definitely not too expensive and can even reasonably keep in my eyes with those of the industrial baker. For those who plan to come by car: The best way to park a little further up at the Erlanger mountain, down at the Guldenecke is very little space. All in all, I would say that the bakery Gulden is definitely worth a visit and even a small detour from the highway is worth to pamper with the delicious gulden bakery.

The service is too slow, they ignore u, they burned the Cappucinos a few times and the chef has such a setting... I once asked for a paper cup to take my coffee away and that was the most rude I ever got! You don't treat customers like... The Italians of the Eis-Cafés Venezia over the street are polite and make better... Thank you, but you just lost a client...

With this bakery I have many different experiences. I like to buy the big beer over there because it tastes really good. Even better if you come back from the mountain after a few beers. But lately, I've got the idea that they're also selling old Brezen. This has happened to me two times. If you buy, check whether it is crunchy and fresh, otherwise return.

Every Erlanger knows them from the mountain creek of the Guldenbretzel. As the name says, it comes from this family-run bakery that has more to offer than just bretzeln. the staff is always friendly and the price average. Buy regularly there. However, it must be honest that the crumbs taste even better on the mountain, especially if they are still warm.
