While this is one of the few Korean restaurants in the Financial District, its quality is on par with the best Korean restaurants in K-town. They seem to specialize in KBBQ, but my friend and I explored some of their other offerings. This fancy Korean barbecue restaurant was open for lunch on a Sunday afternoon so I visited for lunch. I ordered their chicken wings, with the soy garlic sauce, and they came out on nice platters. The chicken was quite good without being overwhelming.
Yummy kalbi tang and a good selection of appetizers. Seafood pancake is very doughy and not crunchy, even though it does have many ingredients in it. Not many good East Asian food available in Tribeca, so I’m glad @gunbaetribeca exists.
Only average. The tofu soup was lacking in spice. The Korean BBQ meat is unseasoned and straightforward. The meat quality was nice but you're paying handsomely for it. Bonchon was limited in variety and they didn't refill it.

The short ribs were bomb. The fries were hard though and the mics for karaoke did not work at all. You also need an dual degree in Astrophysics and Quantum Mechanics to operate the karaoke remote
This place is consistently great. We go fairly regularly and have never had a bad experience there.
Gunbae is the place to dine. The restaurant is quiet. Food is delicious and fresh.
