Halibut House Fish and Chips

This restaurant is part of a chain and overall, it is a decent location. I have only been to two others because my family are fans of the chain. Personally, I prefer another fish and chip restaurant, but I am generally fine with this chain. The staff at this location are friendly and the restaurant is clean and well-maintained. The decor is a bit clinical, but understandable. The Halibut Chips are decent, with a fair amount of fish and a slightly generous portion of chips. The prices are what you would expect for fish and chips, so I don't understand why some people feel they are expensive. Perhaps they are using food apps and are not aware of any mark-ups.

This review is for 2814 Lakeshore Blvd West in West Toronto. This restaurant is located between Islington and Kipling on Lakeshore Blvd with a small parking lot right beside the restaurant. This restaurant is part of the chain covered by the website.We discovered this restaurant a couple of months ago and have been going ever since. The restaurant itself is bright and clean. It serves really great fish and chips with fresh cut fries and perfectly cooked fish. It also has an all day breakfast. The prices are very reasonable and the service is good.

Was here for the first time with a friend, who was getting multiple take out orders.. 6 of them. She had called ahead with a preset time for pick-up. They helped her carry the food to the car. Back at her place I was pleasantly surprised to find 6 very large pieces of fish, not greasy and a mountain of home cut fries that were cooked to perfection! I like to eat and while i might have been able to eat a bit more fish there was no way I could eat more fries. I wish it were closer to my place!

I was disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. I didn't receive the coleslaw that normally comes with my fish orders, and there was an excessive amount of fries that did not hold up well when taken home. The fish itself was delicious, but for a total bill of $71 plus tip, I expected better quality sides. Very relaxed neighbourhood style casual restaurant. The staff were very friendly and kind. The food was good. Simple fish and chips dishes. Ask for “lightly battered” if you want to feel a little less guilty (I know I do! from a yummy treat!Wheelchair accessibility: Wide wheelchair accessible automatic doors.

I have eaten at Halibut House many times at the Danforth and Victoria Park location and always loved it. However, I recently ordered food from this location and was extremely disappointed. The fries and fish tasted frozen and greasy, leaving a strong greasy aftertaste. I was very disappointed with the meal.

It's just a great place to go for a great meal . ?The fish and chips are great, but they do , doother food as well . Like onion rings , battered mushrooms,chicken fingers, and I think chicken burgers as well .So, like I said, it's a great place to go . Plus, they have daily specials.

Honestly we’ve had a lot ofFish and chips all around the city and in the US. Halibut house always comes out on top for the best batter, crispy ness and portion size. We often get haddock and chips special for $11. Reserva una mesa ahora

I've been twice. I don't plan on going back. It's not terrible. It's just not for me. Very small fish portions,then the prices they charge for that piece, lol. I didn't find them to be very clean.

Food is always fresh. Cindy is always helpful and friendly. The breakfast selections are great too! The restaurant is always clean.
