We love Harper's and have been loyal and regular customers since they first opened. The food has only gotten better over time, and the cocktails are always a highlight. However, we had a frustrating experience during our last visit. We had an early dinner reservation for 5:30 PM and entered an empty restaurant, only to find out we were not given a table. We were placed in the back room, which isn't as appealing as the front, but that was where we were seated. We expressed that we couldn't stand due to our timing, and as regular customers, we felt it was disappointing that we weren't accommodated, especially since the restaurant was empty. Asked for medium well burger. It arrived completely uncooked and falling apart. Asked for it to be cooked more and it came back medium rare and missing a few chunks. Menu does not match the menu shared online at their website. Hollandaise sauce tasted like straight lemon, and was very thick and clumpy. Ambiance was cold, old, dirty and empty. There are so many great restaurants in this neighborhood and in Croton on Hudson five minutes away don’t waste your time at this place.
It took some time for a server to come to our table, but when she did, she was friendly. The salad was excellent; however, the entrees (pork schnitzel and salmon) were just mediocre. The pork was too thick and overcooked. The bartender also serves quite small drinks. Parking in the area is a hassle. This is not a place we plan to return to.
Foood was unique and outstanding. Staff was attentive and prompt with service. Bartender Sarah was extremely knowledgeable . She set up a mini wine tasting for us at the bar, recommended several exotic drinks from her own recipes and made our imbibing and eating experience very memorable.

Harper's offers wonderful local dining and drinks. It's a great place for couples or groups of any size, or even solo. The room and bar are comfortable, and there's a lovely courtyard garden open in the warm season.
The portions are quite small, the menu is limited, and the prices are high considering the amount of food served. I was very disappointed and do not plan to return.
We went during Restaurant Week, so the price/value was very good. Food was excellent. I was surprised that only about half the tables were being used.

Been wanting to try Harper's for some time. Super cute, service was great and food was delicious. Would love to go back sometime soon!
the pork was delish. the steak was great, good weinlist. the menu changes quite often. always a great food and a great service.
