Hazelmere Cafe Bakery

Stopped her twice during our holiday to Cark to see family; once with our dog and once without. Cannot fault it the service, dog friendliness and the food. Our first visit was for breakfast, where I ordered the full English and it was amazing! Perfectly cooked and a really generous portion. Our second trip was for a late lunch before travelling back up the road and I had the scampi, which was super yummy! Once again, plenty of it and really nicely cooked! The service both times was excellent. We were told everything we needed to know about wait times, menus and even recommended a certain coffee based on our strength preferences. Will definitely be back again!

It's always a pleasure visiting this well known café and shop. Due to Covid restrictions you cannot enter the café through the shop but have to use the main entrance to café off the road. The meals are reasonably priced for the area and portion sizes are ample. Me and my friend had a coffee and a cake each, plus there's a tea shop upstairs selling a variety of loose tea and bags. Next door to the café is their deli and bakery shop. Delicious cakes and home made bread's aswell as gins and vodka.

My Mrs and myself was visiting the area from London and decided to stop and have a quick snack. We was pleasantly surprised when we was handed the menu. There were so many great and varied food, snack, dessert and most impressively drinks to choose from! The food we ordered was great and we stayed for 4 drinks of different herbal tea's and specialty coffees. Really good vibes, and the staff were 10/10. If we ever visit the area again this is the first place we'll return to.

Had a nice lunch here. I had fish and chips while my wife had the steak pie, both dishes were really good the pie had no void under the pastry it was full of steak to the top, my wife said it was one of the best she'd had. I finished off with a vanilla slice again it was very good along with a nice coffee. Will be eating here again.

This charming little tea shop located within the bakery offers a wide selection of delicious take-away items. The staff are friendly and attentive, contributing to an excellent dining experience. There are many cozy rooms inside, and we enjoyed our meal outdoors with our jumper spaniel, which was a lovely bonus as dogs are welcome.

I had a coffee and carrot cake on Saturday, and I was intrigued by the idea of the sharing plate. Today, I returned for breakfast, which exceeded our expectations. The staff were lovely and attentive, and the artistic presentation of the bread and cakes was a delightful feast for the eyes.

Absolutely fantastic dining experience! The teas were incredible, and the staff were friendly and knowledgeable about their offerings. It's definitely worth a visit—maybe even two—if you're in the South Lake District on holiday!

We got some takeaway cakes, a bakewell slice and a 'beesting ' which is a sweet bun with almond cream inside and almond slices on top. Just wow! So so tasty, big enough to share too!

Excellent! We had vegetarian breakfast, nice warm plates, food was divine, granary bread was divine! Staff very efficient and friendly. Will definitely be back.
