Hazelmere Cafe Bakery

My first time here, first time its not been full! Obviously well supported by locals and very busy. Service is excellent and the food does not disappoint. I had Cumberland sausage, two lovely sausages on riced mash potato lashings of gravy with al dente sugar snap, carrot and baby broccoli, just perfect. The sausages came from Cartmel Game Butchers, just lovely full of meat nice herbs very good. My partner had Chicken Schnitzel, nice and crisp, looked good. I had a side of Vegan Slaw (no diary), very good, fresh and crisp great flavour. Date and Walnut Tart, best pud I have had for a while, sweet and packed full of nuts and dates. I drove over an hour to visit this hidden gem and it was definitely worth it! The staff was very friendly. I called a day in advance to inform them of my allergies, which they took into consideration when I arrived. Despite being very busy, I was pleased to see that they took my allergies seriously. The food was delicious - fresh and tasty. The bakery next door was also fantastic. The prices were very competitive. I would give them a perfect 10/10 rating. Keep up the great work, guys!

Came here on the way home, (to Southern england) for breakfast. Excellent full English and vegetarian breakfast,vine tomatoes on toast and smoked salmon and scrambled egg. Also good blend of cafetiere coffee served by friendly staff. Also takeaway sandwiches brought for our journey were of excellent quality.

Been eating at the Hazelmere for getting on for 30 years and never been disappointed. We had the steak pie this time and it was excellent so tasty, served hot and fresh, staff helpful although they were busy and we felt welcome and comfortable, along with our dog. Thank you, we will be back

The Hazelmere is one of our favourite spots in The Lakes and it never fails to deliver. Wonderful, plentiful food that's packed with flavour without being fussy. Friendly staff, great service completes the package.

Exceptional food at this up-market cafe. High quality coffees. Gorgeous toasties with real homemade chips and an apple and blackcurrent crumble with proper custard to die for!

Lovely lunch date with my dad. Nice ambience and dog friendly too. Smashed avocado was a visual delight besides a treat for the tastebuds!

Great place to stop en route to the western Lakes. Quick friendly service. tasty food and good value and you can park nearby.
