Thank you for a delicious meal for our anniversary (again) this year. Because of dietary restraints and my very plain eating habits I was not the perfect diner.... I’m a Ruth’s Chris lover. They cater to my every desire. They also offer several side selections. My husband wanted to eat here, I preferred to go to Ruth’s Chris. I say all that to say this; Our waiter, albeit frustrated with me last night, was kind, courteous and very accommodating to my weird and plain choices. We had an absolutely wonderful dining experience including impeccable service and delicious food! Being from out of town, we wanted the taste of Charleston and High Cotton delivered. We enjoyed the beet salad and she crab soup as starters and then had the catch of the day and shrimp and grits. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and were treated to glasses of champagne! There was awesome live music in the bar which we could hear from our table but also could carry on
Great food, great ambiance, staff was very attentive! Price was mostly appropriate. Got the steak and eggs, steak was cooked perfectly. Got the spicy **** mary which wasn't burn your face off spicy, so the right amount. Girlfriend got the cinnamon bun which was insanely sweet and doughy. Oysters were a bit expensive so I skipped but they did look good. They also had live music at 1030 in the morning which was great. Overall I would go back, and the food was excellent!
Food not that interesting. I had some grilled swordfish over beans. Can’t even remember it. Yucky. Husband had Lane Snapper fish dish and it wasn’t great, either. Buttermilk fried oyster appetizer was good but so filling. All in all, same old stuff on menu. I would eat at SLightly North of Broad, Puggans Porch, or Peninsula Grill before this place. Lovely atmosphere and bright cheerful room. But food lacked heart.

We went for a few Espresso Martinis, but stayed for fantastic dinner!! The service and quality of food here is amazing. Everything we tasted was unbelievably good, all the seafood was fresh and prepared perfectly. It?s pricey, but I have no problem paying the check and tipping big for this level of service and food!! Will be back next time in Charleston!!
We went to high cotton for dinner and got together with both old and new friends. There were 6 of us total. Jen was our server and couldn’t have been better! She was attentive, personable, and even took several group photos of us. Everyone’s meals were perfect. I got the filet and it was cooked perfectly. Highly recommend.
Great atmosphere, friendly waiters. Food was hot fresh and on time. She crab soup here is a must try, same with the scallops. Delicious. Came here for an anniversary and were welcomed so kindly, I love it. Also brought champagne for our table, it was so sweet!
The experience was awesome from arrival to exit. Amazing service and experience. Excellent food and atmosphere. Absolutely a must eat at in Charleston! It was my birthday they went above and beyond to recognize that and make me feel extra special as well.

We came for Father's Day with family. The food was good and the service was what could be expected from a Hall's restaurant. I had the steak and eggs cooked just right but not on par with Hall's Chophouse. The Jazz made the afternoon pleasant.
Great food . Great service. Would highly recommend.
