A step above other diners in the area. The small dining room means there's usually a short wait, especially if you have a party with more than four people as most of the seating is in booths. I wish they would add some outdoor dining, the street in front is a great area to explore. The food is your standard diner options. The Stuffed French Toast with Strawberries is one of the most popular items, it's good but really sweet. I prefer their biscuits and gravy with sausage patties. Also, the muffins are fantastic. I absolutely loved this place! The food was fresh and incredible! The service was friendly and attentive, with great suggestions for our orders. I had the cheese and spinach quiche, while my mother tried the Greek omelet. The menu offers a wide variety of options. The restaurant is themed around the adorable Highland Terriers that inspired its name. It's definitely the best breakfast in Central Florida, served all day long. I highly recommend it!
Always a great experience at Highland Cafe. Typical busy Saturday morning, line was out the door and parking can be a bit of an issue. Mushroom cheese omelet was fantastic, hash browns and bacon were cooked perfectly, sausage gravy was excellent. Pancakes here are not my favorite, good but not awesome. Definitely recommend the Big Breakfast or an omelet. Service staff is always friendly.
Food was on spot! Partner had steak and it was perfectly done and seasoned. I had a pressed Cuban, and it was tasty. It's a bit crowded, but very clean. Staff was attentive and friendly. Small town Cafe feel. I would go back. We left comfortably full and enjoyed the visit. Lots of southern cooking items on the menu, with a variety of other plates.

Best breakfast I?ve ever had! Wonderful service and food. The atmosphere is great And cozy. We are visiting in the area and stopped in to try it and it did not disappoint! This is a must go for breakfast locally!
Delicious breakfast in a warm and inviting setting. The service was friendly and attentive. I especially loved the stuffed French toast and the garbage plates. Highly recommended!

Best liver and onions I've ever eaten. My husband had an omlete with steak and double grit. Excellent. Very present staff and very clean.
Great, cozy little diner with amesome breakfast options at affordable prices. Great energy and people here.
