We always make sure to include a Bloody Mary as a key part of every holiday we go on. On a recent trip, we found ourselves feeling a bit lost and stumbled upon Hobgoblin. It felt like the perfect opportunity to try their Bloody Mary. Our bartender, Jake, assured us that he makes excellent Bloody Marys, and we were pleasantly surprised. It was one of the best we've ever had, both in the UK and internationally. Jake's skills are truly impressive. Hobgoblin also has a lovely back garden area where we were able to enjoy our drinks in the sun, or under the shade. The staff were incredibly friendly and we will never forget those Bloody Marys. We highly recommend this place.
i went with a group of friends last night for some pre christmas drinks. we got served as soon as we sat down and ordered the food, but as the night went on the service got worse. they had about 2 servers and even having gone up to one to ask for service (after waiting an hour) no one was sent. instead we saw our server ignoring us and going and taking shots with her friends who were sat on a table. absolutely disgraceful. new staff is definitely needed
A double dissarano with a mixer was advertised for around £6 and when I went to the till I was charged £9.50! I asked if I could take it back realising I had been falsely advertised to, but the lady at the bar was very rude unhelpful and made me pay the near tenner for one drink! Bad customer service and false advertising, I wouldn’t go back.

I was eager to visit this pub after hearing positive reviews, but left feeling disappointed, confused, and, to be honest, vulnerable when the door staff refused to let me in for a casual Monday evening drink. I have no intention of returning to this place, even if someone paid me.
The staff at this restaurant are unfriendly and rude. They force you to order a drink and then quickly kick you out without giving you time to finish it. If I wanted to drink from a plastic cup on the street, I wouldn't be willing to pay more than five dollars for a pint.
Maddie and Ben on the cheespot were a great pair to speak to they walked me through the menu and were very friendly and professional one of the best places ive been to in brighton this weekend, thank you so much!
£9.20 for two lemonades. I miss the student days when could get a beer for less than a lemonade. Alas, will probably never come back :

There are too many pubs desperately needing business to stay in this one, where the staff didn't care about customer service.
Checked ID twice on entry and getting a drink. Cheapest pint is £5.10. And the beer garden shuts at 11pm
