Hojo's is a great spot to hit up if you're looking for some comfort food, whether it's for lunch or dinner. They can be pretty busy on popular nights (Friday especially) so you may want to consider booking a table in advance.Their vegan ramen is so good and flavorful. I also recommend the vegan gyoza it comes with a light soy dipping sauce with some spice seasoning in it. All their vegetarian rolls are also delicious!Love that all ordering is done directly from an iPad helps both you and the staff know exactly what dish and toppings you'd like, and gives you the option to order more on demand.Their food is a bit on the pricier side, however it's not without justification all their ingredient...

Up here in PEI for the first time. You aren't going to impress this Bostonian with lobster and fried fish. Desperate for a more refined meal we were canvassing Charlottesville for a decent asian restaurant and stumbled on these reviews of HOJO. We were delightfully shocked by the high quality and professional preparation of the food. The ambience was lovely and while I initially was put off by the iPad ordering it made for a wonderful experience with food and drinks appearing magically after ordering . Having eaten sushi across the globe I can be picky but the freshly caught blue fin tuna sashimi was incredible. The Salmon nigiri was great. My husband being more of a cooked food animal tried...

Hojo’s website has described clearly that « this restaurant has a no tipping policy, preferring to take full responsibility for properly paying its staff as is the Japanese custom ». I was surprised to see the various percentages of gratuity presented to me on the point of sale card reader machine when I was ready my bill; I reluctantly tipped over 15% to save my embarrassment while the server was waiting patiently for me to enter the tip percentage! In conclusion, Hojo should update its website of NO TIPPING policy if indeed their Japanese custom has changed a few years after its opening.

I enjoyed the salmon sashimi, spicy tuna roll, and spicy miso ramen (I was really hungry, lol) and I was not disappointed at all. I didn't take any pictures, and honestly, none were needed. I should mention that this restaurant uses a tablet system for placing orders once you're seated, which is very efficient, especially when it comes to getting drinks. That said, it was never difficult to talk to a staff member about my order. Reserva una mesa ahora

I've been going to this restaurant for years, and the sushi and ramen are always excellent and very fresh. I appreciate the tablet/iPad menus for ordering, which make things convenient. They also offer a wide range of vegan and vegetarian options, including vegan sushi rolls and vegan ramen. As for accessibility, there's an elevator in the mall that takes you to the second floor where Hojo's is located.

The food was great and the service was amazing. The portion was pretty small for its price but considering the location was downtown, it'a understandable. An interesting fact: Every table was given a tablet that had all the features for ordering food, calling for services, paying the bill, etc. It's convenient and high-tech, so I was impressed.

Today was our first time dining at this restaurant, and I must say the food was incredible. The service was outstanding, and the atmosphere was fantastic. I had the chicken ramen, and the portion was quite generous. We loved the flavor of everything, and we will certainly be back again. Food: 5/5

The service and atmosphere is great, but paying $25 for just six small pieces of eel and half a bowl of rice is ridiculous. I was only half full after eating the meal. Definitely avoid ordering Unagi Donburi if you're starving or you'll be utmost disappointedFood: 1/5 Reserva una mesa ahora

Respectful and fast service. Food is high quality. Pork Tan Tan is the best ramen I have had. It's perfectly balanced and the gyoza are the best dumplings I have ever had. Also great are tonkotsu ramen, katsudon and baked seafood roll.Food: 5/5
