Wow, I forgot to Yelp Hooshik after my visit last February, and now it appears to be closed, another victim of the pandemic. I hope it 's able to reopen in some form when things go back to normal, but if not, I 'm at least grateful I got to check it out once. Ah... I miss you so much. Hoping that there was a way for you to come back. The vibes and music were always on point and the bingsu was was always perfect. Loved bringing all my friends and family here; everyone ended being so surprised and happy with it. Most of them became frequent customers before the pandemic, and if you were to come back I 'm more than certain they would too. Alas I wish you the best! Though it’s been a while since I visited Hooshik, it remains one of my favorite spots for Korean desserts in the MPK area! While Koreatown offers a wider selection, this is a great alternative if you’re further from LA. Hooshik has been around for some time and consistently serves refreshing and delicious bingsoo. I highly recommend enjoying the dessert as soon as it arrives since it melts quite quickly, which is my only minor complaint. The bingsoo itself is wonderfully light and airy. My favorite flavor has to be the matcha and red bean, as they complement each other beautifully, but the coffee and strawberry versions are also fantastic. I started going to this place since the beginning of last year, and I have to say that this is one of the best dessert places that I have ever gone to. As a Korean who recently moved to this area, I found this place a welcoming spot because it involved food from my own culture. Ever since quarantine started I went out to this place a lot more with my family because we just had nothing to do but eat. A week ago, we were sadly informed by the business owner that they would be closing business this week. My absolute favorite is the green tea falling snow. I’m a huge fan of green tea, so it’s definitely the top choice for me. I've also sampled their mango, mango cheesecake, strawberry, strawberry cheesecake, red bean, black sesame, and Stumptown espresso falling snow. I think I’ve tried nearly all of their flavors, and I usually go with whatever I’m in the mood for at the time—they're all fantastic, in my opinion! Additionally, I've tried their garlic and injeolmi toast, both of which were delicious. However, I found the injeolmi toast a bit dry due to the injeolmi powder. hooshik! this is probably in my top 5 dessert places of all time. if you guys haven't try korean shaved ice, it's definitely very different from american shaved ice. it uses less fruity artificial syrup and more just fruit and other toppings and relies on condensed milk to sweeten everything. personally i love getting mango or strawberry as they aren't too sweet and their fruits always seem to be very fresh! you really get to choose how sweet you want it, so that's a plus, but they also have a bunch of topping to add on, and i personally always add mochi to add some more texture. the inside of the restaurant is very clean, and whenever i get takeout it's still always really great! 10/10 woul...

I have been here many times around 3pm and eating at hooshik allows me to relax and cool down from a rough day. My usual is the strawberry shaved ice. This was one of mine and my friends' to-go spots after a long day at school since this location was only a bus stop away. We always chose to sit at the big wooden table right at the front entrance of the store while we enjoyed our bingsoo and did our homework. Definitely recommended! This place was my favorite Bingsoo store, a shame it had to close. I would always go with my friends their balance of fruit, milk, and ice were just right fit my preferences. Really miss this place Reserva una mesa ahora
