It creates a lively atmosphere with a diverse crowd, perfectly balancing those who like to stay a while with those who are concentrated on their work. The music plays at a comfortable level, making it an enjoyable spot to unwind or get things done. If you're open to a short walk, there’s plenty of street parking available nearby.
First time at Maru Coffee with my friend. It's super cute and minimalistic once you step inside the coffee shop. Staff were friendly and quick to make our order.I got an iced latte with crema on the top with a slice of banana bread. The crema is creamy and lightly sweetened so it really enhanced the latte's flavor. Banana bread was moist and not ridiculously sweet. I want to try some of the croissants next time. I'll definitely be back!
I've been to Maru several times, and it has consistently been excellent! I always start with a Bon Bon and then enjoy a Cream Top. Both drinks are a real treat for coffee enthusiasts. The Bon Bon, made with an espresso shot, is quite unique and absolutely worth trying if you love espresso. During each visit, I find the baristas and other customers to be friendly and welcoming. I truly wish I lived closer!

Us: got the iced cappuccino and cream top. I thought iced cappuccino would be interesting but it wasn't anything special. Their cream top is pretty solid.Others: I wished we could have gotten bonbon, but cold capp was too tempting. Other than that, its a very quaint small minimalistic coffee shop. Their chairs are so comfortable for some reason.Owners: all the best
I had a wonderful time at this restaurant! The atmosphere was delightful, and the staff was exceptionally friendly. My spiced cold brew was absolutely delicious! I was looking for a convenient place to meet a friend from La Miranda, and I've definitely found the perfect spot. Food: 5/5
Wonderful, coffee and great pastries as well. I made a special trip to this place and was very happy with everything they had to offer. I ended up getting a pour over as well as a croissant. I will happily visit this place again next time I’m in the arts district of downtown LA.
This place takes you somewhere, the minimalism is so good for my mental health. All the hipsters and artsy people go here, reminds me of Seattle. The cups for here drinks are so… AMAZING! This is a hidden gem and right in arts district. yaaas.
