The food here was decent but not great, the real issue was the dining room and the manager. We were required to be seated in a dimly lit and poorly decorated dining room by the manager, not the well decorated and serviced dining room that was reserved for hotel guests it was an insult, especially because there was open seating in the good dining room. I would avoid.
One of just two restaurants in the medieval town of Keintzheim Schwendl offers a good choice of predominantly Alscatien dishes and a choice oof set menus. The food is well prepared and wholesome and accompanied by a short local wine list. Service is friendly and we had a very nice evening with a group of wine colleagues.
Lovely, quiet and friendly. The room is spacious and comfortable. Breakfast is fine. The restaurant is delicious for the evening meal. A charming little village very quiet close to Kaysersberg and other villages of the wine route. Our new drop point for our Alsatian escapades! To be recommended!

A warm welcome, comfortable rooms, a nice breakfast, delicious dishes accompanied by adequate wine, with a small word of explanation. An address to keep!

We stopped in Kientzheim for a night when travelling around Alsace, and found the restaurant purely by coincident.
