Biggest disappointment we have ever had in a restaurant. The evening started when we arrived at the restaurant and our table was at the reception. According to the waitress, it was the “most beautiful” table in the restaurant. Result: far from all the other tables and view of a green fence which surrounded the hotel swimming pool... For appetizer we received a few appetizers and ordered water and a beer. Then we ordered a bottle of wine, which turned out to be the best of the entire evening. The entire experience at the hotel was ruined because of an employee, her manager, and the poor management and internal communication of the reception team. My partner and I paid in advance for the entire stay, and the day before leaving we paid for everything we consumed because we knew we were not going to have dinner and we were leaving the next day, we wanted to speed up the checkout and only leave the key when we left. Service was good and location is beautiful and will be exceptional once the construction next door is done. Rooms and hotel would have a great charm if they (1 actually stuck the landing with the furnishings and (2 made sure things were in good condition so the styling felt intentional rather than just old. (Instead of keeping the vintage vibe going throughout, rooms have random office style furniture as lounging chairs and a desk that look like they grabbed them from IKEA. Very nice hotel in a magnificent setting but our poorly appointed room with an outdated bathroom did not justify its price. On the other hand, the restaurant is of a very good standard Rooms: Our room on the 1st floor with a broken elevator had the front door hitting the fridge.
