20 or more years now I believe that I have been coming here. Every time the food and service has been phenomenal. Not a single complaint in all these many years speaks for itself. I live within walking distance so one can imagine the frequency with which I frequent this restaurant and they are an absolute delight every time. By the by, Chinese food in general is not my favorite however this place certainly is and continues to sway my opinion towards the good. Fortunately House of Dumplings exists. Unfortunately they have ruined my chances of being happy with any other Chinese food restaurant. I’m still thinking this is a good conundrum being that House of Dumplings does indeed exist.
The service was decent, but with only one person working the front, it was clear she was quite busy. We were patient and received everything we ordered while sitting at one of the five small tables available. The ambiance is not particularly impressive as the space feels a bit cramped, but the dumplings absolutely make it worth the visit. The multilayered pancake is crispy and delicious as well.
I wish we lived closer, but unfortunately, I'm in Knoxville, so I can only stop by when I visit family. If you're a fan of dumplings, you absolutely must check out the House of Dumplings. They also sell frozen dumplings that you can prepare at home!
I sat in the car waiting for half an hour to open this place, and it was worth waiting. The menu has no pictures, but you should not worry because there are several pictures on the wall. Do not feel shy about asking the waitress for recommendations. She gave us an overview of what is popular for every section of the menu. Very friendly. The food was good. You can do the dough for the dumplings is all in-house. All necessary diving sauces are on the table so you can assemble your own concoction. The place is a little bit small, but I think they have to go orders if you can't get a table.
Edit: This is still one of my favorite spots to visit whenever I'm in town. It's the perfect place to relax with some tea and enjoy delicious dumplings! I came here last year with a friend, and I make it a point to stop by whenever I'm in the area. The dumplings are incredibly authentic and packed with flavor. If dumplings aren’t your thing, there are plenty of other options on the menu! The family that runs this place is always incredibly welcoming. It's definitely worth your money!

We tried the salt and pepper tofu, which was perfectly crispy, light, and fresh—absolutely delicious! The Shanghai soup dumplings were also a treat, with just the right amount of soup and flavorful meat. We ordered the shrimp, pork, and chive dumplings. They tasted great, but I found the skin a bit too thick for my liking. I think I’d prefer to get more soup dumplings next time instead.
came here last year with a friend, and when I'm in the area, I'm trying to get as much as I can. I really love the dumplings here, they are really authentic and have really good taste. There are other things than dumplings if dumplings are not for you! The family that leads the place here is always super friendly. Your money is definitely worth it!
The pork and chive dumplings, along with the green onion pancake, were quite good, and the spicy sauce served on the side was excellent. Just make sure to double-check your order before you leave, as mine was missing the egg that was supposed to be included in the pancake. Unfortunately, I only realized it after it was too late.
It feels like a cozy, family-run establishment. The atmosphere is relaxed and down-to-earth. The dumplings were excellent, and we also enjoyed the black mushrooms, which were fantastic. The scallion pancakes and fried tofu were quite good as well. The service was really friendly.

It's a small dumpling shop, but the food is excellent. I tried the vegetarian dumplings, and they were absolutely delicious.
Good food, great service. Love the dumplings here. Ordered frozen ones also for a quick meal.
