My boyfriend and I were looking for a new spot to eat breakfast since we typically go to the same few every time. I came across Hungry Hollow and looked at the menu and photos and thought it sounded great! Now when I tell you this, I am not exaggerating…great was an understatement when walking through their door. It was PERFECT! We love small, hole in the wall, “welcome home” type places and Hungry Hollow is just that! Plus, it smelled great and we hadn’t even gotten up close to any food yet! I thoroughly enjoyed my hamburger at Hungry Hollow. I can say without hesitation that this hidden treasure of a restaurant serves the best, most perfectly cooked french fries in comparison to any other place I've ordered fries at. I don't like fries that are even slightly soggy or oily. My Hungry Hollow fries were plentiful and served with just the right amount of crispness. It's 8:00 AM as I'm writing this and I could eat some Hungry Hollow fries for breakfast!
This is the best café/diner I've ever visited. The staff are incredibly friendly, and the warm hospitality is hard to find elsewhere. As if that weren't enough, the food was fantastic, and the waitstaff were attentive to every need. My coffee was constantly refilled, and any request I had was promptly addressed. I can't emphasize enough that if you're living in or visiting this area, you absolutely must stop by for breakfast!
Hungry Hollow offers amazing food. I enjoyed a ham and cheese omelet that was loaded with peppers and onions, accompanied by real country-style potatoes. Everything was delicious. My son had French toast with warm maple syrup, which he loved. The staff at Hungry Hollow were incredibly attentive and friendly. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great breakfast, brunch, or lunch experience.

I had a great experience with my hamburger at Hungry Hollow. I can confidently say that this hidden gem has the best-cooked French fries I've had anywhere. I can’t stand fries that are even a little bit soggy or greasy, but the fries at Hungry Hollow were plentiful and perfectly seasoned. As I write this at 8:00 AM, I’m definitely tempted to have some Hungry Hollow fries for breakfast!
We were so excited to try this restaurant while passing through Sacramento but it ended up being a bit of a let down. Service was great but our biscuits were dry. Our Belgium waffle had lettuce and a hair in it. Our waitress was considerate as they brought out another waffle which ended up being very delicious but I was more cautious eating it after the experience with the first.
Absolutely amazing food that feels home cooked not slapped together. Went here a couple weeks ago to try out was throughly impressed with the food the service the atmosphere considering how busy they were short staffed. It gave me a feel of beingat home eating with family friends on a Sunday morning, which usually pretty hard to find now. Thanks Guys will be back soon!!
Great food. Prices are pretty cheap. I'm guessing maybe the low overhead maybe? Works for me. Kitchen is quick to make my meal too. Coffee isn't the best tasting but meh... they have a new regular customer in me.

Looks like the people who eat here are on the older side, but their food is delicious! Great staff! Clean environment! The soups are fantastic! The bird is amazing! Yum!
This place is a hidden gem! I was feeling really hungry while at home, and I'm so glad I discovered it.
