We went between four and six so we could take advantage of happy hour on my birthday. However, there was no happy hour and I asked the waiter how many glasses of champagne would be in a half bottle he recommended that we order a 6 ounce glass each and then split a 6 ounce glass so we ordered mom’s champagne and he brought a bottle to the table and I assumed he was going to give us a glass each And they kept pouring and I was too embarrassed to say anything and I thought perhaps it was a birthday extra. Needless to say to people drinking a bottle of champagne isn’t great I got carried away because it was my birthday and I was in a good mood, but it was not a good experience for layered reason...
So glad Hy's doesn't change. The food was incredible, the service was excellent, and the ambience was perfect. It was such a nice way to celebrate a special birthday, and for me to bid goodbye to Winnipeg. Out of all the things I wanted to do in the city before I leave, returning to Hy's topped the list.

Very good service, delicious ahi tuna and prawn appetizer, Caesar salad was ok, the steak and vegetables were delicious as well as the beef wellington my dining partner ordered.

We celebrated our anniversary at Hy’s and were extremely happy with service, food quality atmosphere. Will definitely return for another delicious dinner.
Food is fantastic as always. Ambience is perfect for business meetings. Andrew and Patricia never miss a beat in their attention to detail.
