I received the smallest portion of food I've ever had at a Jamaican restaurant. I paid $14 for curry chicken and was surprised by what I got. It consisted of just three pieces of chicken over rice and peas, a small serving of cabbage, and a dumpling. I'm from Fort Lauderdale, where Jamaican restaurants are very popular and you usually get a good amount of food that you could even share. I wish I could get a refund. I won’t be coming back; it looks like I'll have to drive further to find another Jamaican place!
The food was fantastic, bursting with flavor! I just came back from Jamaica and was craving some island cuisine, and this place really delivered. The customer service was impressive, and the food exceeded my expectations. I will definitely be coming back. As for vegetarian options, my son ordered the potato stew, which came with a side of cabbage and cornbread.
It was our first time visiting this restaurant, and I must say the food is absolutely delicious! I’ve been searching for a good Jamaican spot, and I finally found it here. No more trips across the bridge for us; we’re making this our new favorite place. The owners are very friendly, and the service is great. Two happy customers here!
The food was incredibly flavorful, and the portion sizes were just right. The service was excellent, and the staff were really friendly. I enjoyed the background music, and the restaurant itself was very nice and clean. I definitely plan to return whenever I get the chance. I'm also thrilled that I have leftovers to enjoy later!

It was my first experience with Jamaican cuisine, and I will definitely be coming back for more. The food was outstanding, and the service was top-notch. The staff was incredibly friendly, and the restaurant was clean and well-maintained. If I weren’t short on cash, I would have left a generous tip!
My only issue was with the oxtail stew. While some pieces were tender, many were tough. I usually expect oxtail to be cooked low and slow until it's tender and falls off the bone. Despite that, I would definitely return to try something else; the goat curry looked promising, with plenty of meat.
Simply amazing! The J chicken, J wings, oxtail, and rice and peas were all fantastic. The cabbage side and mac and cheese (which isn't traditional) were incredibly tasty as well. If you enjoy bold flavors or spicy food, I’d recommend asking for extra spice. I would return in a heartbeat!
We had a delightful oxtail and jerk chicken combo meal. The restaurant was clean, the food was well-prepared, and the hosts were charming and entertaining. We were on the lookout for authentic Jamaican cuisine, and we found it at Island Escape Grill.

The hospitality is outstanding, and the customer service is, without a doubt, the best I've experienced. The food is fantastic and always fresh, and the Jamaican patties are delicious as well.
