Ivy Inn restaurant is a charming spot within the community of Hasbrouck Heights, NJ. It a mile down from the Hilton located just a mile up the street in the neighborhood. There is history that comes with the building. The dining cocktail menu shares their story of the once upon a time 6 guest room inn and pub for travelers to stop in. Indoor or outdoor dining is available. They have two outdoor patios sections but it looks as though only the very back is currently in use. They have a very lovely garden. The interior also looked cozy and good. However, I wanted to give 4 stars in the beginning when I saw their dirty chairs and tables outside. The staff was very kind. When she gave me glasses upside down on the dirty table, I wanted to give 3 stars. When she served my soup, and she gave me a spoon on the menu, I wanted to give them 2 stars. You know, the menu was dirty, it had been touched by all the customers, and you don't want to put your spoon on the menu. Finally, when I tasted the French onion soup, I didn't want to give them even just one star since I hated too salty food. The classic American menu is thoughtfully crafted—it's not overly inventive, but it's certainly not clichéd either. The kitchen crew does a fantastic job. The table service is remarkable; attentive without being intrusive. They boast an extensive beverage list, including some house wines by the glass that aren’t listed on the menu. Plus, the pricing is very reasonable. I only wish we had discovered this gem sooner! Although we've only lived in Lodi for a year, I've driven past the Ivy countless times and always wondered what it was like.
A very warm, cozy and friendly atmosphere. We were on a date night and there was a young family next to us. Despite the contrast both parties had an enjoyable evening. The cod special was outstanding and one of the best we 've ever had. My drink was missing a few ingredients including a caramel rim so that could have been better. Overall, can 't wait to go back again.

It seemed like there weren't enough staff in the kitchen. Our meals didn't all arrive at the same time, and our waitress never refilled our water glasses after the initial service. We've celebrated the last two New Year's Eves at the Ivy Inn and had a fantastic experience, so we were really disappointed this time around.
Fantastic place with a ton of history and excellent food and atmosphere I love the mushroom puff pastry appetizer in the special menu and this time I had the breakfast pizza which was great as well!
Always love this place! Used to work there years ago. Great food all the time! The atmosphere is very unique. Very comfortable and cozy. You gotta love 3 fireplaces!
