I read the reviews here and decided I should try Jack's kitchen.I arrived just about 4:45pm and there were several tables reserved, but I found a table for two (I was by myself) and was waited on immediately. I already knew from the review and online menu what I wanted. Service was quick and friendly and as others came in for the reservations and it got busy, the server still managed go come by to check on how my order was, and to "apologize" for the delay... in bringing me a tea refill.. But I hadn't felt neglected or an undue delay. I observed how those arriving for the reserved tables were recognized and seated immediately. I also listened in as some placed orders, some pre-ordered perhap...
Been at this restaurant several times over the past years. The quality of the chinese food is always top quality. Have tried several other chinese restaurants in central Alberta but this is still the top. In my opinion prices are a bit less than other chinese restaurants and the quantity is great. This restaurant if very accessible if travelling South on Hwy. #2 between Red Deer and Calgary. Don't miss this one...
The staff here is very friendly. I don't normally make reviews but after having their food.... It was top notch! The food here is fabulous and what a fantastic atmosphere. Will be here again very soon and many more times throughout the years. It is however a bit more pricey than other Chinese restaurants but the quality very much makes up for that.... Always fresh.
The Chinese food was average. Most tasted the same, as if the wok was never cleaned properly. Additionally it had that slight burnt wok taste to it , still it was fine to eat but that odd taste. If you golf at Bowden it's worth a try but I would not stop just to eat here.

Recommended to us from a friend, it was excellent. Wasn't real busy, we were attended to promptly and checked on several times throughout our time there. Very friendly staff and restaurant very clean. Nice view of the golf course from the big windows in the front.
Wonderful food and staff. Recommend it very much. The ginger beef is amazing. IF your a golfer the restaurant is on a golf course. Great place to eat for families and business. Just off the highway in Bowden. Quick access.
Had ginger beef, sweet & sour pork and almond gai ding for supper. Portions were very generous and the food was fantastic! The service was great and very friendly. We always enjoy Jack's and keep coming back.
This place has the best Chinese food for 100 miles or more! I can't recommend it highly enough! Excellent staff, excellent food, what more can you ask for?

Great Chinese food at reasonable prices. The service was great and the food fantastic. Pretty popular place for lunch amongst the locals. Recommended.
Great cozy little not so secret place. Offers western and chinese food. Best ginger beef all around! Great combination plates as well.
