They brought my mom's scampi and the portion of chips to our table during our night out, but not the chicken and fish. Unfortunately, the chips were cold by the time the rest of the food arrived. I had asked for the chicken breast to be well done and crispy, but it seemed like it had been defrosted in the microwave and quickly fried, as the skin was soft and none of the chicken was crispy. It did not taste good either. The fish portion was mostly batter, with barely any actual fish. The coffee was so bad that my mom had to ask if it was actually coffee or tea. Additionally, the price was unreasonable for just one can of soda, one tea, one meal, one fish, one chicken, and one portion of chips...
We went for a day trip to Souhtport and we always have a fish and chip lunch when we go to the seaside. We had a lovely lunch the food was piping hot and the fish was lovely with light crispy batter there was plenty to eat and a nice hot cup of coffee to go with it. The staff were very friendly and quick service.
On a busy hot day in Southport, what better than having fish n chips. Jacksons fish n chip shop, 3 cod specials, bread and butter, and a mug of tea. Lovely. The staff still have time for you (even though busy). At £9.90 per person, it's still good value.
Prices up, portion size down, I know all overheads are up, but you either reduce your portion size OR increase costs, do both together and you're on a downward slope, been going here for years but it's a shame will be looking elsewhere from now on

Excellent fish and chip takeaway and cafe. All food is good quality, freshly cooked and the place is spotlessly clean. Staff are welcoming and friendly and service is quick. Definitely the best fish and chips in Southport
This is the finest fish and chips you’ll find in the north west by a long way. We go here now and again when we are out that direction, it’s worth the journey every single time The fish is absolutely perfect
I visited this restaurant during a day trip and was disappointed by the small portion sizes and the fact that the fish was mostly batter. I will not be returning and would recommend others to dine elsewhere.

Excellent fish and chips with great service and friendly staff. Good value and they kindly cut a portion into half for us and put in two trays. The chips are the best that I have had for some time
Good value, everything you would hope for we will be back. Freshly cooked no waste we ate everything best chippy I've been to in Southport
