Not great but not the worst. Went for lunch and arrived about 11:50 to miss any lunch rush. There was someone at the til who was happy to take our order. The debit machine doesn't have tap or a tip option. Not a big deal but behind the times. We looked for a booth near the kids area and both open booths hadn't been cleaned, they both had crumbs on the table and seats. The toys are great for kids but they look like they haven't been cleaned in a while if ever. Our food was great. My burger was juicy with a nice soft bun and fresh toppings. I was between a 3 and a 4 star review. I gave 4 stars because the ice cream was great and the service was great. I would have given it less based only on the food. My Angus burger itself was good, but the mushrooms I added were tasteless, very disappointing. The kids chicken fingers only came with 2 smallish fingers a friend who comes there more often told me after they usually get more than that. The poutine was tasty, but it was drenched in gravy, probably twice as much as it needed. I feel like the other people at the table enjoyed their food, I just picked a few items that weren't great.
Got take out tonight and have to say it was subpar. Fish batter was not fried too a nice golden hue but very white. Fries also not very brown and really who needs that much fries. Well maybe if they were good it would make it better. Coleslaw was literally 3 forkfuls and overall everything lacked taste. I have not been there for awhile but pretty sure it tasted a whole lot better before. Need to up your quality as there are lots of other places to go for fish and chips. Giving this experience a 2.
Burger was mediocre as far as burgers go. Juicy but definitely tasted like a frozen off the shelf patty. Onion rings were awesome although definitely not enough to justify the price. The only reason for my one star rating is that the food made me sick to my stomach. About half an hour after I ate it came right back up. The gelato looked good though.
Great place to bring kids they love all the toys. Food is high quality but a little pricey for a place where you order at the counter. Nice casual dining atmosphere. Would be better if the tables were cleared more regularly. We'll be back because our kids love it, but it is not necessarily our first choice for this type of food or price level.
We visited for breakfast on Boxing Day and I was pleasantly surprised to find out that they offer a wide variety of options. They have plenty of gluten-free choices, and there’s a child-friendly area that was perfect for the little ones in our family. The food was excellent and the service was good—John was particularly fantastic!
