After some thought about our dining options, we decided to try Jim n Nick's. Our server was very friendly, particularly towards my mom, who is in a wheelchair. The food arrived hot on a sizzling plate. The ribs were delicious, and while not every restaurant excels at baked potatoes, this one certainly does. We enjoyed our meal and then returned home, ready for a nap. Thank you for everything! We'll definitely be back.
I love this restaurant, This last visit my chicken fingers were unusually bland and not seasonal at all. Also, the last 2 times that I ordered in the drive through I didn't receive my dipping sauce and things are often left off of my order when I go tothis location. It's frustrating because if you're on the go you're not thinking that anything has been left off. So, ALWAYScheck your bag BEFORE you drive off!!
Overall it wasn't bad. I had the Carolina pulled pork with beans and slaw. Everything had a good flavor. The mini muffins were something different and a nice touch. But the meat seemed a little tough compared to what I've had at other BBQ restaurants. Might've just been an off day. Will give them another try at some point. For now, I can only rate them average.
I visited this restaurant for a quick lunch and decided to try the pulled pork sandwich with fries, as it was my first time at Jim N Nick’s. I really enjoyed the sandwich; the pulled pork was delicious! The staff were very friendly, and my food was served promptly. I would definitely return to sample more dishes from Jim N Nick’s! Normally I have no problem with this location but today it took over 30 minutes for a to go order of onion rings and a slice of lemon ice box pie. What makes it worse is that when I eat my pie it's not lemon ice box, it's coconut. A waste of time, money and gas.
I was more impressed by the side dishes (baked beans, coleslaw, mac and cheese) than the actual ducks, but the ducks were still decent. The staff was friendly, and I would recommend this place.
I love this place! We get up to B’ham about 8 times a year and this establishment never fails. I’ve never had an issue at this location, dining in or ordering food to go.
