This is one of my favorite spots for cakes and pastries. I always get their Japanese chiffon cake filled with cream. As others have mentioned, the sweetness level of the cake is just right, which makes it a healthier choice. I basically order cakes for all my events. They also offer some lunch box options, and the food is pretty good. For breakfast, they have items like Rice Packs (Fan Tuan) and Fried Chinese Donuts (you tiao). I also love their bread, especially the dried pig song rolls and garlic bread, as well as their various types of sliced toast. Highly recommended!
I’ve been going to this bakery for years. It’s my go to for Taiwanese bread and cookies. I highly recommend the buttermilk puff pastry, pineapple buttermilk bread and Taiwanese egg tarts. The hotdog with scallions, red bean bun and green tea cookies are all delicious. They also make cakes for all occasions. The hazelnut chocolate cake is really good.I tried the pork steam bun, pineapple pastry and matcha croissant previously. Sadly, I’ve had better.All in all, the bakery has something for everyone.
JJ Bakery is my favorite among Asian bakery chains—far superior and more unique than 85°C. They offer a wider variety of baked goods, and I especially love their puff pastries and pig sung pastries. This particular location also offers a great selection of hearty lunch boxes at reasonable prices. In addition, they have many cakes and Taiwanese breakfast items, as well as chilled dishes that you can take home and heat up, including desserts, soups, and even stinky tofu!

We ordered from here numerous times. But we are super disappointed on this vanilla chiffon cake. We normally ordered chocolate chiffon cake and it is normally fresh. This is our first time ordering the vanilla chiffon cake and we can tell it is not fresh. We are surprised that the cake is kind of dry and not soft at all.
I've been here so many times and the breads here are always delicious. Kinda wish the lines were a bit more organized. People just kept cutting in line randomly but whatever. Always a good pickup though and the breads are cheap. Literally got like 4 solid buns for like $12 dollars. Cheap eats!
Great location for fresh baked pastry, breads, and all these yummy combinations mix meats and sweet sandwiches, many different choices. Sometimes parking is limited when there are a lot of people. The photo of this sausage pastry is one of my favorite. Light and quick snack.
The experience was disappointing and lacking in flavor. I wouldn't recommend this place if you're looking for Taiwanese pastries. Instead, I suggest visiting 85 Degrees Bakery Café down the street. Their offerings are better in both taste and price.

Hope they open a store at Sangabriel or on valley blvd, I like everything fm JJ, but too far away from me, hoep I can get something every day before I go to work!
