The food at Joe's Crab Shack was okay, but it was clear the seafood was frozen rather than fresh. I ordered the Cajun Steampot, which came with lobster claws, snow crab, shrimp, mussels, potatoes, and corn. Unfortunately, it cooled down quickly, leaving me with cold seafood. Eating the crab legs and lobster was quite messy, so it's probably not the best choice for a first date. The bib they provide was a good warning of the mess to come. Despite these issues, I’m glad I gave it a try. My nephew, who is a picky eater, only took one bite of his pepperoni pizza before deciding he didn’t like it. Meanwhile, my mom really enjoyed the sampler meal with hush puppies added.
Our time on the patio at Joe's Crab Shack was delightful, thanks in large part to our waiter, Alexander. Alex was an excellent representative for the restaurant, offering great suggestions and making sure we had everything we needed. He even took some photos of us. The food was fantastic, and although we considered starting happy hour, we chose to wait this time. Meanwhile, the playground kept my son happily entertained as we waited for our meal. We’ll definitely be coming back.

The food was very bland. Shrimp wasn 't cleaned. Most of the mussels in Steampot was empty. Dungeness crab tasted like it was previously frozen. Alcoholic drink was weak. Spent a decent on a meal that was very mediocre. It was my 1st visit. There was no Wow factor to suggest another visit. Not sure what the issues are, but Joe 's Crab Shack needs to step up their game. I was very disappointed.

the waitress was very nice and friendly. food was excellent and super delicious! would recommend! we ordered the joe's crab for 2 (crab legs, shrimp, sausage, corn, and potatoes seasoned with old bay and garlic). we also got one of the special drinks that light up, very cute touch and yummy drink!

The crab boil was tasty! I would have liked it a bit more spicy, but it was flavorful. Left with a souvenir cup thanks to our amazing server! The atmosphere was friendly and fun. If I'm ever back in or near Clearwater again, I'd go again.
