Apparently this is a Margherita pizza. Absolutely NOWHERE on doordash or uber eats does it specify that apparently fresh tomatoes don’t equal tomato sauce?? However, the napolitana pie with plum tomatoes has tomato sauce.. makes perfect sense. Not. I have eaten here before and thought the pizza was delicious, but after receiving the worst service of my life I’ve given up on this place. Whoever I spoke with told me that they’ll contact both delivery platforms to update their menu to display no sauce, but how does that help a frustrated customer that just dished out $40 on a wasted pie? I visited this restaurant for my father-in-law's birthday lunch, and the food truly exceeded my expectations. Every dish was incredibly delicious, with generous portions and exquisite homemade sauces. You could really taste the freshness of all the ingredients. I was also very pleased with our waiter, who served us patiently and kindly. My favorite dish was the chicken parmigiana; honestly, I haven't had one this good in years! The bread basket we received at the start was also fresh and baked to perfection. I will definitely return to try their pizza and other dishes when I'm back in the area.

I work for an event planning company in Stamford, and I recently had a client who wanted delicious, casual Italian food for her party. We catered to around 100 guests, and I was pleasantly surprised that everything arrived perfectly with the delivery! Luciano and Alex were incredibly accommodating in every aspect. The food was fantastic, the prices were reasonable, and the delivery driver was friendly and helpful. This restaurant truly deserves all the praise it receives. We thoroughly enjoyed their salad, pizza, and pasta—all of which were absolutely delicious! My personal favorites were the bolognese and the fresh bread; both were outstanding. The dining experience and service were excellent, and the takeout is just as dependable. I really appreciate the staff; they are incredibly friendly and clearly care about the quality of the food and service! They've been in business for quite a while, which I find impressive. This is my favorite pizza place in Stamford. The crust is both chewy and crispy, and the toppings are always fresh. Their pasta is also excellent. When I first started using Uber Eats, I felt the urge to order from fancier restaurants, which I did, and I ended up spending more money. However, the food wasn’t consistently good, so I decided to switch back and order the traditional way—by phone. I didn’t rate the atmosphere since we always get our food delivered.
Simply wonderful. Delicious food we shared eggplant rollantini, calamari, pasta fagoili soup, clams with red sauce and broccoli rabe with sausage. Every dish was excellent !The service was very good. Prices are very reasonable half price on bottles of wine on Thursday !Expresso sambuca and toasted almond cake completed the experience. Definitely worth a visit !
I have always been a big fan of John the Baker, but I recently had a clam pizza delivered that really let me down. It arrived half an hour late, and unfortunately, I had to throw it away. The slices were drenched in oil and were completely inedible. I'm really disappointed, especially since this is usually my favorite spot in the neighborhood.
While working in Stamford, I was recommended to try John The Baker. The food was outstanding, and the quick service truly exceeded my expectations, especially compared to my experiences in New York.
