There was nobody really in the restaurant, and no music, and I just found that strange for a restaurant or any business really. I was really disappointed with my experience at this restaurant, which might be one of the worst Peruvian places I've ever visited. Although the service was friendly, we couldn’t finish the food because we were concerned about its freshness. The cau cau didn’t taste fresh at all, the rocoto was watery, the pollo saltado was overcooked, and the fries were unappetizing. Additionally, the container for the salsa Verde was swollen, suggesting it had been improperly stored. While the staff was pleasant, it took a long time for our food to arrive. I happened upon this spot through Yelp while I was in the area for a late lunch. The place was relatively empty aside from several Togo pickups. The cashier told me the seating area and bar area were open. The cashier server bartender made me a White Russian. She was such a sweetheart as we battled against the language barrier. bad food. worse service. My family ordered and waited for over an hour for the food to arrive when it arrived it was cold and soggy. The server was rude and wouldn't remove my wife's chicken dish that she couldn't eat.
This is undoubtedly some of the best Peruvian food I've ever tasted! Everything was incredibly fresh. I particularly loved the lomo and the beef hearts! I will definitely be returning. Food: 5/5
Pollo saltado, aguadito de pollo are the two dishes I tried and they are delicious!Service was great too they are very accommodating to special requests.
The food is absolutely delicious! I've visited numerous Peruvian restaurants in the Washington area, and this one is definitely at the top of my list.
