Lots of table space, this two room cafe feels like everything you would want in a local cafe-couches, 4 seat tables, with high chairs and a very family friendly attitude. I tried the bourbon pecan latte (dairy based) and the vegan (lentil and potato filling) patty and was blown away by both. They also have vegetable-based, chicken, and beef patties. Phenomenal! Everything here is absolutely delicious. Since the first day I visited, I’ve been driving there every other day—I'm hooked on their Jamaican Blue Mountain Coffee. If you're a coffee enthusiast, you won’t want to set foot in Starbucks again after trying their Blue Mountain brew. The pastries are incredibly fresh, and the sandwiches are even better. I’ve tried both the Ruck chicken sandwich and the Ruck salmon sandwich, and they are both exceptional. I also had the pleasure of sampling every baked pastry they offer; my favorite is the Black Forest cake. And the fresh patties are simply the best! You absolutely need to stop in—you won’t be disappointed!
This morning, I visited the new Jamaican/American bakery in South Orange, and I was pleasantly surprised by the wide selection of baked goods available. I decided to try the classic cinnamon bun, and when the staff asked if I wanted it warmed up, my smile made her laugh as she was already heading to warm it before I could even reply. The bakery has several tables for dining, many with high chairs. The coffee was excellent and served piping hot, which is exactly how I like it. I’m looking forward to trying the soups and Jamaican patties on my next visit. Plus, they offer free WiFi inside. This bakery is a fantastic addition to the community!
Delicious food, outstanding service, and a welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel like you’re always surrounded by friends—this restaurant is truly a must-visit if you want to experience a warm and inviting dining experience. My first visit was a Friday night for dinner, and there was an excellent band playing fantastic reggae music. Spending weekends there with family or friends is a delightful experience, but you can also just swing by for a meal and meet some new people. I highly recommend K-Kakes Cakery!

The Jamaican quiche was excellent. The Jamaican blue mountain coffee is bomb. I'm usually not a coffee drinker, but it was so smooth and tasty. I took some chicken and beef patties for lunch later after breakfast. Please support this business. The food and the staff are amazing.
YUM! I stopped by K. Kakes today as my office, Best in Class Education Center, is right down the street! I'm so glad I did. Everything was delicious! I had a beef patty (not from frozen! , bun and cheese, and a side of cabbage. I'm so happy and so is my belly. Great job.
Family friendly restaurant near the South Orange train station. I had the jerk chicken sandwich and would absolutely order it again. There patties I tried the a beef patty and a vegan patty) were the best I've ever had.
