You know you've found a hidden gem when a restaurant shares a tiny plaza with a liquor store and is unpretentious inside, except for the incredible dishes served to you. The place has a cozy, mom-and-pop vibe, manned by just two people: the wife who takes care of the serving and the husband who is the sushi chef. Given its small size, it's definitely wise to make a reservation ahead of time! The omakase is a great deal, and the quality and presentation of the food far exceed the price (but shhh, don’t let the owners know, or they might raise it!). The sake here is also a great bargain! This is a place a friend of mine recommended to me a while back, and I really want to keep it a secret because it checks off several of my favorite boxes: 1) excellent value, 2) delicious food, and 3) a charming, down-to-earth mom-and-pop atmosphere. Nestled in a modest plaza, this restaurant is run by a husband-and-wife duo. They offer an omakase for around $60 to $70, which includes a generous spread—10 pieces of sushi, a sashimi platter, fried fish, and dessert. While the sushi isn’t top-tier, it’s of good quality and offers fantastic value for the amount of food served. I recommend making a reservation, as I don’t think they accept walk-ins.
This charming restaurant is a family-run establishment operated by an elderly couple. They offer an excellent omakase experience at a fantastic price. The fish was incredibly fresh and practically melted in my mouth. We requested the shrimp head to be fried, and it was absolutely delicious! Reservations for dinner are a must, and the omakase experience here consistently delivers excellent value and service. This charming little sushi spot is a true gem worth visiting to support the local mom-and-pop establishment. They have been in business for quite some time, and it shows in the high quality of the food and the warm hospitality.
The same friendly lady was there, and the sushi chef was preparing the omakase. My wife wanted to come back for the omakase, and overall, the quality of the meal was excellent. The decor is a bit dated, but that didn't bother me. Check out the photos of the food we enjoyed. We will definitely return!
