We visited during happy hour and took advantage of a discount on the garden roll, which was fresh and delicious, complemented by a tasty peanut sauce. So I've gotten take out from here twice now and it's okay, but pricey for such small portions. I don't even remember what I ordered the first time, but it was during the beginning of the pandemic last year and I wanted to support local asian restaurants. I do remember that it was bland and tasted more like it catered to american palates than to Thai/Lao palates. So I decided to give them a second chance but it all still tasted like Americanized thai food. The decor is very esthetically pleasing and modern chic, but if the food was given the same wow factor in taste as opposed to plating presentation (in other reviewers photos) then they would have gotten 5 stars from me. The food at this restaurant is bursting with fresh flavors and is beautifully presented. The owner and staff are friendly and attentive. I started with the garden rolls, followed by the pork ribs in panang curry, which were incredibly tender and flavorful. This dish was served with sticky rice. For dessert, I savored the delightful Panna Cotta topped with mixed berry sauce, a special treat for the evening. However, the restaurant does have a limited selection of beer, wine, and sake.
Nice small environment. Service was good. The Pad Thai was burned flavor so swapped out to Sweet and Sour which was okay, but portion quite small. The Ribs in Panang Curry were okay. Flavorful sauce with average quality ribs. Some more veggies for color and texture and balance would have been ideal. The Tom Kha was a small portion and at first had a thin weak flavor, but slowly built up into a nice flavor profile.

This Thai restaurant in Pinellas County is undoubtedly our favorite. The food is consistently fresh and flavorful, and they always offer fantastic specials! We love coming here for date nights or to take the kids. I highly recommend trying their Tofu Ginger soup, fried rice, steamed dumplings, and hot sake.
The servers are great and the food is fantastic! Whatever you have, add the steamed dumplings...best ever!! AND they deliver!! (I saw the UberEats sign! This place is a new fav and we will return again and again!!!
Extremely fresh and skillfully prepared. This is the best Pad Thai I've tasted in St. Pete so far. The calamari was tender and flavorful. I highly recommend giving this place a try.
Kao Thai Kitchen is the town's best hidden gem. The decor, service, and food all deserve five stars. We’re fortunate to have such a fantastic spot nearby.
