First time having Afghani cuisine, we decided to ask the owner for advice. Tried their Mantu, Bulanee Badenjan for entree and Qaboli Pallaw Lamb for main. Last but not least have their Sherpera for dessert. <br/ <br/ Their Bulanee Badenjan is by far the best eggplant dish we have ever had and is the highlight of our meal today. The Pallaw is also very nice especially the lamb which is guaranteed to melt in your mouth. Mantu is also nice. Sherpera is a so fresh you can imagine having it near the farm where the milk icane from.
My wife and I stumbled upon this place, ravenously looking for food options after a night at the movies. Walked in, sat down, asked for vegetarian options and were presented with the Buranee Badenjan, a dish containing sauteed eggplant, sliced tomatoes and olive oil. It was, simply put, amazing. On top of that it was served Afghan bread that was so big it could be used as a mattress!!! Simply amazing food, and great customer service. Will be coming back very very soon!!!
We made the trip out to Auburn to visit a friend who welcomed a new addition to her family. A feline addition, that is! When we started getting hungry, we began looking for a place to go for lunch. We came across Khaybar after reading a few great reviews including a mention in Good Food. Their article mentioned that Khaybar was not the place for vegetarians. We thought “challenge accepted”.
Qaboli Palau (rice) with lovely spices topped with carrot, raisins, almond and pistachio nuts the flavours not to be missed. BBQ platter, kofta, Quaimaq chai are the other items to try. Always fresh Afghan cuisine recommend for family and friends. Very good service, large portion, very clean and well priced restaurant...

Very tasty food. Loved it! The staff were so friendly and enjoying themselves! They can really sing. We came in late and they were willing to serve us and remain open. Covid cleaning was spot on. Very thorough cleaning of every single table on a regular basis. We will definitely be back here again!
Great food, great experience. Try the eggplant entree with bread. The rice with pistachios, carrot and sultanas is amazing. Lamb shanks and chicken were great. The food is more delicate than lots of other food, lovely flavours. Lovely staff who want you to enjoy.
Best food...absolutely fresh... . Great service.. Alcohol not allowed but respect it. Must go place. Guys are so sweet and humble then top it up with great suggestions along with finger locking food to back up everything.
We really liked our experience in this restaurant. Tasty food better than our expectations and lovely spacious place to sit. I specially liked the badenjan(eggplant) which comes with fresh bread.

The older brother (owner) was very polite and helpful. Told us about how to eat the food, their family, and their point of difference for the restaurant (quality not quantity)
Been here twice! Tried the kabuli pulao n mixed kabab platter.. Great food n ambience! Dogh is a must try especially if you're a fan of desi namkeen lassi..
