I have dined in at Khun Kay and ordered out twice and every time there has been an issue. The problems are not so much with the food, which is adequate but not exceptional, but more with the service. The staff does not seem to be very familiar with what items on their menu are or are not vegan. Both times I've dined in I was told at the register that an item on the menu was vegan only to have it delivered with fish or egg in/on it. Likewise, the staff at the registers are not entirely friendly or patient and have become short and snappy with me and my questions. There are plenty of good options here, but the vegetarian versus vegan options are poorly labeled on their menu and the people working here do not seem well versed in knowing what items have dairy in them. For example, apparently all but one of their curries are made using cow milk/dairy. There was a bit of confusion when I initially asked about this, since most of the other curries are listed on the menu as having coconut milk. After clarifying with the manager, I was told all but the panang curry have both coconut milk AND COW MILK in them. I dine at this restaurant frequently, and I always enjoy the consistently delicious food. I have only encountered a minor issue with the service once, but it was promptly resolved. They offer a separate vegetarian menu with a great variety of options. I have not inquired about vegan choices, so I cannot provide any feedback on that. My go-to dishes are the seasonal tofu pumpkin curry and the peanut noodles. They also offer affordable lunch specials with tasty noodle dishes.
I tried this place by chance while I was waiting for my car to be fixed across the street, and I'm so glad I did! I had the pad Thai lunch special at level 5 spiciness. Great food with many options, with rotating specials. The staff are friendly and efficient, as I never have to wait long for my food. The only complaint is the inside doesn't have A/C, but honestly that doesn't stop people from coming in for the food.
I discovered this restaurant on Happy Cow. The staff member was extremely friendly and allowed me to modify my order even after it was already processed. My takeout order was prepared in under 10 minutes. The food was delicious!
This simple restaurant is always a treat fresh ingredients great specials and complex tastes, they make tofu dishes seem like paradise, great for take out too, order any special and you will leave happy
Ordered takeout for dinner, and the food was ready quickly. The egg rolls were delicious, but my chicken pad Thai was dry and bland. I did not order it spicy, but I didn’t expect to have zero flavor.

The food was delicious and extremely prompt considering they had a bunch of online orders. The restaurant was clean and the staff were friendly. I recommend getting the duck!
A staple now, it's the best Thai in Houston I think.
